Does Cody have a manual or an auto. I've got an old Comp Hurst shifter that I could give him if he'd pay shipping. I don't feel right selling it because it has that rattle in the spherical joint thing. I think it's a fairly easy fix. It's not even a rattle really. It's just that you can pull up on the shifter like 1/8" or so, and once you figure out you can do that you obsess on it. It's also missing a shifter ball, but that's an easy purchase.

What do you say Cody. I'd like to get rid of it and give it to someone who'll use it and enjoy it.

He's got a girlematic, I think. I really like my Pro 5.0 shifter. Got it set on the lowest bolt holes and its only about 3" above the console. I've seen some shifters that were almost 8-10" higher and I didn't like that.

Same here with the MGW. Love it. But when I bought the Hurst I didn't know any better. I was buying a name I knew just like everyone else.

No use for the shifter... Howerver there was a glitch in the CAI. It seems that the elbow is a little warped on the throtle body end and they are concerned about it leaking. They installed it anyway and dynoed it without a problem. I took a look at it and I think it should be fine, but I'll kep an eye on it.

It drives like a different car.. BUt I do have a concern about its ideling. It has died on me 4 times becuase the car struggles to idle. The tach bounces a bit from 500 to 1000 rpm slowly and will die when I puch in the clutch or in nutral. THis happed while I was trying to make a turn and my brakes and steering went out. I was totally freaked! I almost crashed. Is this in the tune or is it the CAI leaking? It runs really strong except for the idle.

Cody, an erratic idle could very well be caused by a leaking intake or throttle body.

Cody. That doesn't sound good. It's not right. Somethings got to be leaking and the only thing different is the CAI. It never gave me a bit of trouble. Especially not any idling trouble. But if its giving you trouble, maybe we can find a replacement elbow. I wonder if Brenspeed or someone can get an elbow only? If it is the problem, and if we can find one, I'll gladly pay for the replacement or reimburse you for it.

Edit: This is why I never sell parts online. I swear my car never died or had any idle issues with that CAI installed as is. There was a little warpage on the throttle body side of the intake, but the silicone sleeve more than covered it and everything sealed perfectly.

You could spray a little ether around the TB to locate the leak...

Hey Gary, I know and Cody knows and everyone should know that you're a stand up guy. I don't think that any of us have any doubts that this cai worked flawlessly on your ride. Maybe it needs a little tweaking on Cody's car is all.

No man. I'm not complaining or anything. I just think it's ****ty luck. It sure ain't Cody's fault. I feel bad for Cody. It sucks when you get a new toy and now you've got to track down a problem. I wish I was there to help him out.
