Thanks Scott
I'd have a little warning though, unlike John
I'd been informed my company is contracting to farm out all the heavy maintenance on our fleet of helis. I've been offered 1 of 2 positions in Colorado, where the work will be done. Not planning on moving, most of our children have families/lives here.
The signed contract will occur in the next week or 2, so just kinda holding my breath until then.
I'll let you know about a get-togther, I'd enjoy seeing all you guys again.

Yeah this really sucks for everyone having employment problems. Best of luck to everyone.

Hey Darrell,
Are you guys seeing orders increase in the steel industry? We are seeing new tooling getting released that last 6-8 weeks. It's the best it's been in 12-18 months. We have 3 tools we are starting for the Chevy Volt. A radiator header and upper and lower AC condenser tools. Nothing for Ford at the moment.

We just went union right before school started, however we don't have a contract in place yet, its still in the works. We are busy because of certain rear-engine buses that are taking a lot of labor to keep them running. The conventional nose buses are much more reliable. We only have 8 mechanics total too, and 270 buses to maintain. We do also have a new electronic system for pre-tripping the buses, the drivers use a handheld scanner to note any defects in the bus, and we have to keep up with fixing the defects. We had to add another mechanic to be able to keep up with it all, and that guy will be coming to the afternoon and evening schedule to help us cope with fixing that stuff.
