Man Do you know how hard it is to find a long handle 13mm wrench. Harbor Freight didn't have one, Sears didn't, and Snap-on doesn't have one. Finally I took a 1" Flat 10" long piece of steel stock and Mig welded it to good Craftsman 13mm wrench. Worked like a charm. Hey Scott how many of the stock studs did you use when you installed the LT's?
Hot and nice here today. Tomorrow 80% chance of heavy T-Storms.
Finally level out my stock exhaust tips, put a 1/2" of washers under the back blacket and put a longer bolt in. Looks good. I'm having problems getting those 4" tips from Aero. Right now I have 2 sets ordered, the second set might get here tomorrow, the first set the Sales Rep. quit e-mailing me last Friday when he took me they would be in stock to ship out.
Hey Tom you can tell me to pack sand but how much was the Photo Shoot????

Photo shoot didn't cost me a thing; the magazine wanted it, so they provided their contractor down to take the photos. The only cost to me is if I decide to have some of the photos printed for my own personal collection, which I probably will because they are awesome! Plus, you can get them pretty much any size including up to 20x30, also even numbered and autographed by the photographer (Tracy Stocker). Tracy is known as THE GUY for automotive pix. You can see some of his work at www.prozakandtonic.com

Hey Darrell,
I didn't use any of the stock studs on my LT install. I used the Stage 8 locking header bolt kit. Why do you ask?
Had a hard time trying to remove most of them, left in about 3 or 4 per side and the headers slipped on ok. Just would like to know how many times I'm going to need to retighten??? Also what gasket did you use??? Stock, aftermarket or something special.

Darrell, for what it's worth I reused the stock gaskets and studs. I've not had any problems nor have I had any studs come loose. Been just at a year now since install.

Larry and I both used the gaskets that came with the OBX longtubes. Larry used the stock manifold studs on his. And like Tom said he used the stock gaskets (re-used) and stock studs. And none of us have had any problems. So the cheapest thing to do would be just re-use all of your original stuff.
I think it would look better if they were yellow, orange, red flames....the ones you posted before looked real untill you got to an angle where you could see they weren't..
OK Boys here is the lastedt Mods.... Tear'em up. The Flames are Vinyl and removeable at will.. like a Window Cling. Exhaust tips.. both pair were delivery today. One was like the picture the other look like old stock.

The ones I posted before were on a car at the Chicago show and were painted on. I wanted something I could take on and off. Also the Blue flame kind of matches the Black and Blue theme I got going.

What ???? you never been a member of the blue flame club??????

Hey Darrell,
Uh...good thing they peel off. (The Flames) Not my taste but... However I really like the like of the tips. Looks alot like the tips on the GTA mufflers I had and liked very much!!
I will not go with any flamer comments. Although I have some...

The flames are from a Window Screen I got at O'Relly's. It's a sticker that I cut out small sections and placed them on a piece of tinted window cling material. That way they can be taken on and off.
So far its about 50/50 on good and bad ideas on another forum.
Waiting on Tom and Scott to chime in.
