Stick shift race at Edgewater Raceway

UMTR is having a stick shift race at edgewater this weekend (Aug. 20th)

Gates open at 2:00
Time runs at 4:00
Elim. at about 7:30

I am heading down with my Mach to run the stick shift class.
Entry is only $20 to race. (it is $12 to watch anyway so why not race)

There are other going from my local club, stangbangerz.com. Come on out to have some fun . . .

Here is their website. www.umtrdragrace.com

Jason, have you ran at Edgewater lately? I was thinking about bringing my 05 down there to see what it would do, but I heard that the track is really spongy now and hard to get traction.
I live about 40 minutes from Miamitown, so I spent many fun nights down at that track in high school.

Mark-

I haven't been there in a couple of years.

As of late I’ve been going to Tri-State, but a number of people on stangbangerz.com have been going. It’s supposed to be ~92 outside . . .so no matter what, it won’t be the most ideal conditions. I’m just using it as some practice/fun.

I’m not so sure Mother Nature won’t have something to say about running on Saturday . . . .

I agree....supposed to be pretty crappy outside on Saturday. I havent been to Edgewater since 99! Either way it will be an experience.
I have heard that Tri-State is a pretty good track. Is that in Ross?? How is it down there?

Tri-State is in Ross. It's pretty good, but there are no lights for night racing. The crowds are smaller, at least when I've been there. Test & Tune is Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons.

I think we are trying to plan something at Kil-Kare this fall . .

Man . .had a great time, but not so great results!!

I got booted in the first round of eliminations! :notnice: I ran .5 slower than my best run earlier this year in all runs. Altough I did run .02 within my dial in time. I see some Drag Radials in the near future for the Mach!

Our local club Stangbangerz had two guys in the $$$$$$$, 1st & 3rd! The field was 12 deep and can't wait til the next event I can attend.

ALL-

If you have stick shift car, want to race, and want a chance to win some $$$$$$$ PLEASE come on out and have some fun!! Check the schedule here . . www.umtrdragrace.com
