I currently have insurance with Allstate and I pay $1004 for 6 months on my 2006 Mustang GT.

I don't have any tickets in the last 4 years, however I had 4 speeding tickets in 2001.

I was just wondering if anyone knew who would have good rates in the Michigan/Midwest area? Progressive and Geico both quoted me higher than I am currently paying.

I have Met Life and they are very reasonable for me. Several friends have AAA through their Credit Unoin and they claim good value, but when I investigated they couldn't match what I was paying for Met Life auto. Do you have a beater or an old car you're working on? If you add a second car for just PL & PD (no collision) you'll get a multi-car discount that often is a cheaper total than for one. Flag the beater as your daily driver and Mustang as pleasure veh and enjoy additional discounts. Also, check prices with different options like bumping deductable to $500. You've got to be creative with these people to save youself on dollars.

I had Allstate. I didn't get a GT cause they quoted me $250 a month! As it was, for my V6 they wanted $1100 for 6 months, 183 month.

Now, I'm 32, have another car, a house, and a perfect, claim free driving record!!!

So I called around, and switched to State Farm when they gave me the stang for $61 a month. Yes, 3 times LESS than allstate. Kicker to all of this was when I called my Allstate agent to inquire about the 'mistake' with my rate? Took a week to call me back. Nice. Turns out they were charging me about double the going rates for my Jeep and House too.

Now I'm mildly bugged about not getting a GT. But, the V6 is doing just fine right now!

I have Farm Bureau here in Indiana and get an excellant rate. No tickets and over 40 though. If you stay with them and get no tickets for 3 years, they give you a 5% discount. 10% the 4th and then 15% the fifth year .Monthly automatic check payments or annual payments will get you another 5% off. I also qualify for another 10% off for multi car discount.

Age plays a big factor, driving record, deductable, and amount of coverage you choose.

31, Clean record, $1000, id say average coverage.

just under 100 a month 06 GT. State farm(since i was 16). No mulitcar or home discounts.'

I use statefarm for both car and renters. Doubling up like that really helps reduce the rates.

480 / 6 mo with a V6 vert (Brookfield, WI)
