Well, actually San Gabriel.

After some back and forth, and some yahoo-ing, I have settled on a meet at a fantastic lunch place. Its called the Galley, and its in San Gabriel. Those of you local, or used to be local, know the place, and know that it kicks hiney.

For those of you who dont know, well, come out and check it out!

We are going to do lunch, 1pm. I am going to talk to the manager and see what kind of spots I can get marked off. However, my past experiences have shown that if I ask for more than 5 spots, I end up looking foolish. I am going to ask for 5 to start. If I get more than 5 people who RSVP, I will call back.

The Galley is located at 8976 Huntington Drive, San Gabriel CA. It is off the 210 freeway. I think most people will be coming from the south:

From San Diego:

Take the I-805 NORTH exit toward LOS ANGELES
Merge onto I-5 NORTH
Take the I-605 exit
Take the I-10 exit toward LOS ANGELES
Take the CA-19 exit onto GLENDON WAY
Turn Right on ROSEMEAD BLVD
Turn Left on E FAIRVIEW AVE
Turn Right on N LOTUS AVE
Turn Right on HUNTINGTON DR
The Galley is on the Right.

From Orange County:

405 NORTH toward LONG BEACH
Take I-605 NORTH
Take CA-60 exit toward LOS ANGELES
Take ROSEMEAD BLVD exit onto ROSEMEAD BLVD NORTH
Turn Left on E FAIRVIEW AVE
Turn Right on N LOTUS AVE
Turn Right on HUNTINGTON DR
The Galley is on the right.

If the people from SD wanna cruise with the people from The OC, then we should probably meet off the 405, and go from there.

Let me know everyone!!!!

I'm in for this meet pending my new work schedule.
I also thought I'd post a link for 'The Galley'...the location of the meet so those of you that plan to attend can see the menu and food/drink costs.

Hmmm, we could do a 3 county cruise. Start in SD, pick up folks in OC, then end in LA. If we do it all coastal, it would be a beautiful drive. Whats on the coast in that area??? Malibu, Redondo? How close is Long Beach to you guys?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the date that Jessica chose for your next event. I just gave her some ideas on where to go once you guys got up here, and the San Gabriel location is where she decided to meet as she has been to this place in the past.

((I vote for August 21st. We can end up in LA sometime around noon??? Is there a place for lunch we can hit with a big parking lot? One that we can talk to someone and get a bunch of spots marked off???))

Anyway, August 21st was the date I was looking for, 1PM.

rrobello, there is ALWAYS stuff going on, its impossible to get a date when there isnt some kind of show or event.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw your post about the Peterson Museum Tour on the same day as the San Gabriel Meet. Keep me posted on the plans...and if you like I can work out a route from San Gabriel to the Museum (if you want to have lunch first)

So far there are.... what.... 4 of us planning on being there?? I just sent out about 50 pms (What a PITA, one at a time!) inviting people who have either been to one of our meets, or those who have mentioned they are in the area. We will see what kind of response we get.

If SCS is planning on being there early, I say we go with them to the museum, then cruise to The Galley... that is if we dont end up with a lot of people... Or we can just go someplace local to the museum to eat. I am a cow, I eat constantly, LMAO I must have a place to eat close to a meet.

If I'm not already on the list count me in!
What's the current plans? Meet at the Museum and get something to eat in the area and forget the plans for the galley, or is the galley still included?

If the plan is to eat in the West Los Angeles area maybe incorrigible can give us some ideas for that area.

Keep me posted on the plans

So far, we are sticking with The Galley.

If we get enough people who want to go to the Museum, then we can change it to go to Museum and eat someplace in the area...

I just found a link to a Mustang Show @ The Peterson Museum in September...is this the same show that you're referring to that we might attend on the 21st?
I included the link below.

Mike, it included you.

STEVE!! I am so glad you are going to make it, its been forever since we saw you and that gorgeous RedFire baby of yours.

SoCalStangs is doing a cruise to that museum on the 21st. rrobello was thinking it would be fun to join them, since they probably will have a pretty big group.

We are up to 7, I am game for whatever, maybe we should take a vote as to which one we wanna do?
