I dropped off flyers in Vallejo and Vacaville today.

Vallejo (Wilson-Corneleaos Ford, seemed to be real excited and was putting together the list of people to call.

I'm in the Almaden Valley area of San Jose, previously from Santa Cruz.

I'd like to thank Nick, a.k.a. 05GT-BABY, for directing me to this thread. I posted a new topic, South Bay anyone, proposing a ride (check it out) and not seeing this topic. May 14th? (I too "was" an A's season ticket holder). Sounds good to me if my schedule allows. Hopefully my Legend Lime will arrive this next week. (it's replacing my totaled '66). So.........if there's still room, and I'm in town, count me in.

Hey man thanks for the shout out. YEah, it'll be a blast. I'll bring a camera to take all kinds of pics. We should stop somewhere along the bay for some group photos.

I don't know the penissula very well.

Anyone know a good spot that 50 Mustangs could stop for a little while?

Not a whole lot on 101 and 880, unless up 92 to Foster City just before the San Mateo Bridge. To the left, the San Francisco side, there's a spot where the para-surfers go. Lots of space with the city as a backdrop.

Or, instead of 101, take 280 down toward 92 then over to 101 and down to 84. There are a few spots right there at the water where 92 meets 280., as well as some rest / view stops.

Other than that, there's a side road off 101 in Burlingame that skirts the bay (look at the map where it says Burlingame; see the little green outcropping right off the freeway) There are spots there, parking lots and a long road. The businesses are closed on the weekends.

Another thought........off 101 you could also take the exit to Candlestick Park. The road there skirts along the water and there's lots of room for a line of cars.....I think.

If we do go eastbound over the Dumbarton, the very first exit past the toll plaza (Thornton Ave.) has a free public parking lot that overlooks the bay just 1/4 mile or so off the freeway. I'm guessing it will hold 50 cars. There are no businesses there, or facilities that I know of--just a parking lot. It is mainly used by locals hiking or fishing in the area. There are no views of SF from there, but you can see the peninsula and the hangars at Moffett Field on a clear day.

3/6 Edit: I stopped by yesterday to doublecheck the above. There are only 35 spaces and most are "nose-to-nose", so you couldn't line up more then 20 or so Stangs in a row for a pic. We can probably do better as far as a place for a photo goes, but this site would still be okay to keep in mind as a stop just to stretch our legs if needed.

So, I took my GT to the local hands only car wash on Sunday. I'm sitting there waiting for the army of wipers to get done drying and this little kid yelled out, "Look, two New GT's!"

So, having a flyer in hand I went over to the new mineral grey GT.
I introduced myself and went into my shpeel.

I got, "Ah--NO."

Guess it's a little late to0 invite all.

I don't care. I want only '05's. I think it'll look cool.
There are some year Mustang's that I wouldn't want to be associated with. Some that you have to know your mustang's to realize that they are in fact mustangs.

15 '05's cruising across the bay bridge and down 101 will still make a statement.

Don't trip derynf. I think it'll be much better with just '05s. Seeing how most Stangs (older models) I see hate on the 05 anyway. I saw a 99 Saleen and he asked how I like my "cubicle". He said it's shaped like a box. Coming from a 99 Saleen, I found that hilarious.
