Well just got back from the track... wow was it busy!! I have never seen so many cars a the drags in all my life! well heres the update: 1)you guys were right about lowering a car and putting 4.10s on it with 235 wide tires... no bueno!! 1st gear is usless, shifting to second I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster ride sliding all over the place and holding on for dear life!! Jarrod needs tires baddddd.

Ok so heres how my first run went. Went around the water---did a slight burnout---nervous as crap I put the Rpms to 2000, tried to slip the clutch but spun all trough 1st--then hit second which made the car bog down (realized I left traction control on haha)---turned it off when I hit third--then frustrated I missed 4th and me trying to jam it in I put it in 2nd for a spilt second which nose dived the car (scared the bejesus out of me). Ran A wopping 13.9 at 88MPH (Yes i said 88Mph). Went back to the staging lanes which were packed and waited for like an hour to get in my second run.

Second run--Made sure traction control was off--Did a nice clean spin of the tires. raised the Rpms to 2200rpms and again tried to slip the clutch--Yea lets just say I spun again-- hit second and again lost traction and my rear end slid around a bit--but this time I hit a better 3rd and did not miss 4th. Ran a 13.5 at 103.3 MPH. I say not bad for all the traction issues. I know she has a lot more in her. I was only shifting at 6100-6200 RPM. I was going to try shifting at 6500, but toooo many cars and I couldnt get a 3 run in. I think I might have been able to squeeze a tenth or 2 if I had. O well better luck next time.

I'm thinking once I get the LCAs on I will start looking for tires and a CAI from possibly JLT or C&L. "Scotty we need more power!" "I'm giving her all shes got captain!!" Overall had a blast, got to run my car down the track and feel the rush of adrenelin. Got my fix and left. Had fun bottom line. Hey Paul thanks for letting me borrow your helmet even though I didnt use it... techs didnt care.. I was one little car in a sea of many so that had there hands full.

Hey Jarrod I told you you could do better than you thought! Good time. a traction limited 13.5 is respectable.

I have heard good things about either Lincoln or Miller brand welders. Which one are you leaning towards??

UCA, LCA, Pan hard bars, braces, etc... etc... It would pay for itself pretty quickly.

Yep I have always thought it would be un to do some projects myself with a welder. Like making a custom tote to carry baby beers and give to all my friends with a built in aquarium for finding nemo type fish.

Seriously, it would be nice to be able to weld from time to time. If we ever get around to opening some sort of shop a welder could make for some extra $$..

Hey gents... Well I think the 88mph thing was me accidently shoving it into 2nd gear.. its almost like puting it in revers... if you can immagine it was kinda like putting the breaks on. But 13.9 for that run wasnt bad for what happened... I mean I left TC on which was holding me back

Yep the ET was good MPH can change drastically if you let off just before the end which if it was on your 3-4 shift then you still had mabey 400 ft to cover or so. My guess is it would have been more like your 13.5 if you would have hit it clean. Even with the TC on.

the 13.5 was more realistic of my MPH and ET. 1st gear is the biggest problem, 2nd gear is a slight problem with the loseing traction for a split second and the cars rear end slipping a little. 3rd and 4th are a piece of cake.. not traction issues and just smooth shifting
