Jarrod, I discovered that KB GT500 you found is the 810rwhp one that KB built and is getting ready to send on the drag circuit. The regular KBs are not anywhere near that loud.

Black silicone gasket maker around the bottom of the crankshaft bolt head. You will see where the factory applied it when you get the old bolt off.

Yeah I saw that too after I posted it... I have heard the KB in person and I swear its loud... I'll find a better one for you on a stock motor

Drove one today and I could barely hear the whine at all even at 6500 rpms.

Maybe when you up the boost and add a smaller pulley it gets louder... the one I was around was 10 psi of boost

The one I drove was only 6 or 8 psi. It was also only a 2.4L KB instead of a 2.6 or 2.8

Mabey the louder one comes with the kid from that video you sent the other day, you get the natural whine then the added whine from the kid.
