Bold Moves Mustang Club of Tulsa
Ok anyone care to put up some predictions on their time for this evening?
I am shooting for 12.8 @106mph
I am shooting for 12.8 @106mph
12.79 305mph (I'm all top end... )
I'd be happy with a 12.9. It's all in the launching for me. My 60 foot times would be better tonight if we hadn't had to remove the new DS. Found out Benji did not seat the adaptor plate into the pinion flange evenly and so I got vibration at high speeds. Denny is sending me a new one and it will be here on Wednesday. Can't wait. Hopefully it will be awesome.
Wow that sucks! I have decided that if I hit a 12 sec run I'm shutting it down for the night. If I am not even close I am shutting it down for the night. Too much time spent cleaning and polishing to flog the hell out of it all night for nothing.
Your right about the 60 ' if we can get to a 1.7 60 ' then you will hit 12 seconds at the big end. IMO
I think you could hit 12's with a 1.8 60 foot. I've seen it done.
You may be right. I have seen all sorts of cars running 12 seconds even at only 102 mph so the threshold is obtainable
come on david! Treat her like a dirty girl! Clean her up on the way home. You'll need to wash it anyways when you get to OKC.
A great way to keep the bugs to a minimum is to cover the painted surfaces on the front hood and frontend with painters tape (the blue stuff). This is an old trick that works wonders.
And since it's BLUE.... Well. You know.
I'm getting ready to leave work. Need to run home aand then I'll see you kiddies out there.

Well I'm sure I will be the slowest tonight due to the 300 lbs of wax on the car now!
WOW..<<<<<that is all i can say about tonight!! maaan that drag strip is slippery as hell. no traction at all... i wish i could of stayed and got another run in or 2 cuz i kno i could of dropped my time dramatically but oo weelll there is always next weekend or something...i did hit 101MPH thoo not bad for starting like 60 feet in front of the starting line
Yep it was really slick. No hook up here. went on to run 13.4 @103 was all she could muster tonight. two words DRAG TIRES.
David .....OOOUUUT

Chris great meeting you tonight! YES! The way they made us launch to the side so that we wouldn't tear up the grove for the big boys sucked. We just left the track... The last run Jeff, David and I all had our best. A pitiful 13.4's BUT! We all missed 4 gear. We were missing 4th all night. Ever since we installed our 4:10s we now have to go into 4th. For some reason these cars don't like to go into 4th at high revs. Have to work on that...
The main thing is we had fun. We also meet a bunch of new people/members. It think we picked up 4 new members tonight.

Good night kids... may your dreams be filled with awesome launches.... Unlike tonight.
Hey guys I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a Tulsa boy all my life, but never came on to this forum until today. I have a 2007 Grabber Orange mustang GT with Roush body. Just wanted to say hello and give the good old meet and greet.
Oh brother Jeff... where art thou videos?
Dude, I've been in study groups and reviews since 9. Patience. I told you it might be Sunday.
Just in from Mustang heaven. The show was A W E S O M E ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Will post some pics in a little while I have to go nurse my sunburn first. Oh yeah, and Bob.... he went crazy. Got to meet with Rob aka OKLACOP, 98yellowgt, and a couple of other peeps from TMS. Took some pics of my car with the water tower. Saw some of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen (some even made Bobs bling look mundane) got a great sunburn and some memorabilia, oh and did I mention that Bob went crazy.
