That sucks Jeff. How many times did Benji try it?? Is it vibrating all the time? Just at certain speeds? What?

That's why these cars have two piece to begin with. They had a hard time with the one piece vibrating.

I wonder if the driveshaft itself isn't messed up... Most are balanced from the factory. They have weights attached just like wheel weights ( the ones that are placed inside the lip of the wheel). Did you notice if it had any weights?

I bet the Knippling pins have worn off. I read on the Kenny Brown site that if the Knippling pins are excessively worn that you will get vibration at high speed from the DS.

Seriously though I would put the stock shaft back in and see if the vibration still exists if it does then its the pinion angle if not then its the DS.

Well, I went to Tulsa Auto Spring this Am and they found that the pinion angle was correct. So I called the place that did they R&D for the DS. They said it is probably my adaptor plate not being on correct. So this is the last thing I am going to do before sending the bleeping thing back and getting it checked out.

Paul, Benji can't do anymore this week. Could I come over tonight and have you help me check this adaptor plate? I know what to do I just don't have the tools.

Don't fret... I'll look at it. But you're band from any more mods!

Can you take a peak at it now and see if you can see if it's screwed up?

Man! It doesn't take long for the media to pick up on this stuff! I just found this...

From- The Racing News Journal…

Jeff Hensley’s Race Status Unknown for Friday’s Big Race…

Tulsa, Ok- Sources are now saying Jeff Hensley is listed as questionable for Friday’s “Bold Moves Mustang Club- Super Stang Blow Out” race. While no specific reason was listed, it is known that the reason is mechanical in nature.

Friday’s race pits club members against each other to determine who truly is the fastest in the club. The current champion, club founder and Man of the Year award recipient, Paul has held top honors ever since the contest started. Paul drives a Vista Blue 06 Mustang and is thought to be simply unbeatable.

Undeterred, Jeff has poured millions into his car during the off season in hopes of de-throning the champion. His dreams were almost realized last year when he was beating the Champ 3 races to 1, only to watch his dreams and hopes crushed, as Paul went on to win the next 4 races and take the series championship.

That's ****ing hilarious Paul!!!

I've been under the car 10 times this morning. You can't see anything messed up. What we need to look at is what is behind the pinion yoke. What we need to look at is covered by the DS. Once we get the DS down then we can see the adaptor plate center to see if there is any problems.

Thanks for helping me tomorrow. I'm hoping we can fix it so I can race on Friday. If not, I have a smokin new video camera to video our runs.

If we can adjust the adaptor plate then all my woes should go away. If not then it will be coming off and the factory one goes back in and the new one gets sent back to Denny's in NY.

Don't worry, the pinion word is now non-existant.

Stress less Bob. Hopefully all my DS headaches will go away tomorrow night when Paul and I look at and pull off the DS to check the adaptor plate.

This pinon is way beyond stress, this is locking the doors and taking the safety off and being on the look out for a grey stang.
