Avintage Mustang GT350, top, takes a few laps Friday around the track at the Barber Motorsports Park in eastern Birmingham. The Mustang Club of America is holding its 30th Anniversary Stampede at the park. More than 1,000 Mustangs from across the nation are expected. Local cars include this 1966 Mustang GT, center, being worked on by owner Wayne Wells of Clay. The stampede will continue today and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with various displays, Mustang-related merchandise and an auto show, right, where rows of Mustangs of all models are on display.

Track runs were a blast, I ran in 6 sessions yesterday. My Bamachips tourque tune was awsome out on the track. I hope to have some in car video up sometime early next week.

Still have a grin on my face

Today was too gadblasting hot. I got there at 12, and was out of there by 1:15. Mustangs aside, I(all of us) was about to freaking pass out. So I went home.

Friday I got to drinking cokes. I almost passed out at the grandstand because the stupid things dehydrated me-and we went and hid in a little corner of shade for a long while. I learned after that- WATER!!! We left out about 2:30 Friday- My hair was crusted with sweat. Don't wear black in 100 degree heat!!

That monster hill I had to climb to get to the car was part of it- yesterday all I could think was CHEVRON CHEVRON!! Then of course, Brian calls me and says- now the tram is running up to display- which by that time I was nearly home. And the girl decided to dress for style instead of heat- and she carped the whole time we were there. She rode home with Brian for her own safety.
It was wonderful to meet everyone. I still want Jason's Mach though I know I am happy with my cars- but I still wonder if I would have been happy with the orange 04.

Beautiful cars galore there, Good Food(mmmm burgers), Fun Times! And a paradise of mustang toys too!

HOT, HOT, HOT!!
I just got home and the show was unbelievable! Mustangs as far as the eye could see. Between 1200 and 1500 Mustangs at the show!
We stayed all day Friday and all day Staurday.
The only goodies "Jessica" got were a MUSTANG w/ pony trunk mat, a small Hurst emblem for the trunk lid, and best of all was a free radiator cover (stock) from MustangShadow (Perry) to replace the one the body shop scratched up. Thanks again, Perry!

April,
There were some Display Only cars down with the rest of the cars. I assume it had to do with pre-registration.

I was going up to Pelham at around 11, but I didn't see you. I saw a buncha reds, and a blue and two classics on a hauler, and a ton of 99-04s that probably live around here.

You couldn't have paid me enough money to go today, I stayed far away- yesterday by the time I got home I was nearly sick from the heat, sucked the life out of me. And naturally today is the first pleasant day of weather we had

Pffft...you SUCK

I was home by 8pm ET, about 30min earlier than I expected thanks to the 3 Corvettes that got on south bound I-75 just south of Macon GA. They all three had FL tags so we tailed them for a good bit, well into FL in fact. All three of them were modifed with aftermarket exhausts, wheels and paint. The lead car was a C6, the other two were C5's with one of them being an 02 Z06 We maintained roughly 85-90 behind them - 3 'vettes and 3 Stangs, some times looking like a NASCAR draft A few times I was in the very back and when we'd all change lanes - PRICELESS

Well i took around 600 pics. I'll be workingon all of those tomorrow from work. Right now im just trying to get the web gallery of PSH online. Jason (Evil_Capri) got to drive the mineral gray super charged CDC vert on the track with me in the backseat. Brad was behind us in PSH. I took 147 photos of PSH in the first lap, then video taped the 2nd. Pretty cool stuff!

Ended up getting to drive PSH around the track a few laps sunday as well, only at 45-60mph speeds, but i definitely was able to catch up to teh pack REAL quick when i would lay back.
