25th Annual Mustang, Shelby & Ford Roundup - Tampa, FL - October 14, 2006

Even Dave from Dodge (the guy that drove one of the cars) had a blast! He works at a Dodge dealership, and we always kid back and forth (kinda like the Ford/Chevy thing). He said he can't let the guys at work know how much fun he had at the show (and driving a Ford)!
FLOCK 'em!
Will Silver Springs be our next big one? With a Race Rock meet maybe toward the end of November? Then, I hear we HAVE to go to Fantasy of Flight in April!
Maybe we should enter as a club if that's possible?

Actually, I'm aware of two other Mustang/Ford shows being held in Central Florida in November! I'll put up a separate listing on them later.
I'm surprised those folks weren't handing out their flyers at the MOSI show.

Yeah, I think I mentioned that to Phil when they said the biggest club there had only 9 cars. We had 11, and I'm sure our group couldn't be matched in terms of the rides. We could've gotten another trophy! Like we needed one...

Heck YEAH Chuck - have him sign it!!
(I guarantee you Perry and Kacie will be there getting their car signed...)
Tom/Kyle - actually crap - we should have done that..... we sure had enough cars.....
Maybe if we get a decent sized group for Silver Springs we should give it a shot.....
What do we call ourselves???

Had a great time hanging out with everyone on Saturday.
I'm still choking on the 130+ mph dust I ate on the way to the show kicked up by some thrill-seeking punks who will remain nameless, but it was well worth it. There were a lot of very nice cars at the show and everyone in our mini-TMS group won at least one trophy! There are plenty of pics out there already, so here is just a couple more.
Pic 1: There were at least two 'real' Boss 302's there. Very nice.
Pic 2: Here's an original GT/CS.
Pic 3: Shelbys, new and old!
Pic 4: Here's a very nice Cobra with genuine FE power. On the left is Perry (Mustangshadow), Dave (Burke0011), and that caveman dude from the Geico commercials.
Pic 5: This Mach 1 was in better shape than the day it was built. I have a lot of respect for cars like this and the people who return them to this condition.

JT - hey glad you joined up! Good to meet you this weekend too - so see you at Silver Springs?
Phil.......
Ummm..... all that dust was Dave's fault..... he was on POINT so I can blame him..... Geez I didn;t know where I was going so I had to follow him (although I think someone in a black 05 was the only one to get that fast trying to catch up - I don't think we got that high up on the speedo - could be wrong though....)
The "AOF MUSTANG CLUB"?.......
Hmmmm........

The weekend was a great time.
I was in awe seeing all those classic and current Mustangs. There was one red/orange 1965 fastback that brought back memories of my Grandpa's. It was a nice one! I have more pictures, but didn't want to bog down the site.
I'll definitely see you all at Silver Springs.
If you guys aren't doing anything this Sat, check out my Lakeland Hooters post.
If any of guys can make it. Cool!
If not, there's always next time.

Oh yeah the actual reading I had at one point "CATCHING UP" was 135 on my speedo. Which was a new record for me.

LOL Burke0011 actually gave me his old springs from DarknightII and Mtas cut a coil out and we replaced the rear springs on Blacksunshine.
She seems to be lower by about an inch
Thanks again guys. (they did all the work)

We did that to a buddy's car before he got the Steeda Ultra-Lites. If you have passengers in the rear seat, you may hit the bump stops every once in awhile.

Now I know why I got a cryptic PM from Dave last week asking about where to cut the stock rear springs!!
