Promised Mopar Pics
One of my favorite Mopars: a 1970 Super Bee. This was built from the stock kit (not the current pro-street version). Paint is Tamiya rattle can Plum Crazy, and I added a white vinyl top (with the masking tape method). Engine is wired and plumbed. I've got another of these kits that I plan to build as a Sublime Green R/T.
Wow.
Ok, how do you do the wiring and plumbing? If I tried that I'd end up with a big booger of glue sitting on top of the distributor, and I'd have carpal tunnel from trying to route the darn things.

I make my distributors from small pieces of aluminum tubing and wedge the spark plug wires into the ends. Gluing isn't usually necessary. Then for the other ends - you can often just twirl an X-Acto knife to make the holes. I don't spend much time there because it's usually hidden by the exhaust manifolds.
The plumbing is the easiest of all. Simple holes in the firewall and on the engine, and let the rubbers hoses fall where they want. It's usually in just the right places. I found plastic and rubber line in the jewelry-making section of Hobby Lobby. It's less than a dollar for several feet. Comes in the right gauges and colors, too.
It's an additional hour of work on the engine that results in much more detail. Well worth the effort. B)
