One of my favorite Mopars: a 1970 Super Bee. This was built from the stock kit (not the current pro-street version). Paint is Tamiya rattle can Plum Crazy, and I added a white vinyl top (with the masking tape method). Engine is wired and plumbed. I've got another of these kits that I plan to build as a Sublime Green R/T.

Wow.

Ok, how do you do the wiring and plumbing? If I tried that I'd end up with a big booger of glue sitting on top of the distributor, and I'd have carpal tunnel from trying to route the darn things.

Wow.

...how do you do the wiring and plumbing?...
The spark plug wires and heater hoses are simple wiring from Radio Shack. There are companies out there that makes specific spark plug wires and such - but they're VERY expensive (for what you get). A trip to Radio Shack will get you everything you need. Just browse around. You'll find all sorts or wires in dozens of gauges and colors...

I make my distributors from small pieces of aluminum tubing and wedge the spark plug wires into the ends. Gluing isn't usually necessary. Then for the other ends - you can often just twirl an X-Acto knife to make the holes. I don't spend much time there because it's usually hidden by the exhaust manifolds.

The plumbing is the easiest of all. Simple holes in the firewall and on the engine, and let the rubbers hoses fall where they want. It's usually in just the right places. I found plastic and rubber line in the jewelry-making section of Hobby Lobby. It's less than a dollar for several feet. Comes in the right gauges and colors, too.

It's an additional hour of work on the engine that results in much more detail. Well worth the effort. B)

Amazing. I have no clue how I could ever do that. You've inspired me to work on the 429 some more! And please post pictures of the Sublime Green R/T. It is my most favorite Dodge color.

The weathering of the radiator, exhaust, and master cylinder are the best details I find :worship:

I love the Super Bees and GTX cars. Most people think of the Charger or Challenger/Cuda as the best Mopar.....not Me I'll take a Super Bee or GTX any day!
