Mystery Hotwheels

Sunday, I went by Kmart looking for the '65 Fastback. Couldn't find any, so I took a chance on some unopened Mystery cars.

Hey Chad, I found the 2 Mustangs by luck today at Wal-Mart but I also found one you guys haven't posted(I think), a Green Ford Shelby GR-1, plus a couple of Modern Classics, '70 Torino & '92 Mustang(have seen this one posted)

This thread made me go out and try my luck. I picked up 5 sealed and 2 peeked at. Oddly, the sealed Mystery cars were crap ones, and the two that had already been peeked at were the 2003 GT concepts.

Nice finds.
You couldn't find 2 and give one to your "best friend"?

I picked up two of the mystery packs. One was the black stang and one was a chevy. The stang you could hear roll in the package and the chevy was in a plastic bag so it didn't move in the package.

so the mystery cars only sold as mystery cars or can you actually buy them in the clear packaging too?

It looks like the mystery cars are left-overs, and were probably sold before in packages where you knew what you were getting before. I don't collect HotWheels, just started looking since I now own a car that they make toys of. but noticed that all the mystery ones I picked up have different years on them. one said 1994.

I found the same 2, one was opened and the second was by accident. There is a code on the back, I don't know if it for each car but here they are:
JKKTU9YK
JMJTYPY7
I don't know which is which... I didn't look when I took them out.
