Thumbs down

Okay guys, this is a thread for BONE STOCK (no slicks, either) '05-'06 GT 1/4 times. What's your best time?? Post 'em! If you can try to include your time slip so we know you're on the up-and-up.

I'll start. I ran under my dial-in time of 13.65, but luckily the other guy red-lighted so I won... the time really surprised me. Please note that the tower got my racing number wrong. It's 9467, not 4467.

Best time: 13.511

Mileage on the car at the time: Approx. 13500.

Here's the timeslip.

A dial-in time is the time you think will you will NOT run under in a 1/4 mile race. Running below your dial-in is called "breaking out." If you break out, you are disqualified from a race, unless the other racer red lights, which means you win automatically. If both racers break out, then whoever broke out the LEAST wins the race.

Generally, dial-ins are used to handicap bracket racing. In other words, it allows slower/faster cars to compete with precise time handicaps based on each car's dial-in. This is done so winning is based more on reaction time and consistency rather than who has the fastest car that night.

You might want to refer to the 2005-2008 Drag Racing Forum also.
