I've read all the other horror stories about chipping, but this is a joke. That's just one picture of it. Both fenders have peeled in spots down to the metal, plus at least 80% of the hood/fenders are blistering. The service technician literally said "Holy crap!" when I brought the car in. 4-7 days....entire front end will be repainted...maybe they can do it right this time.

Anyone else have this same problem?

That is the worst case of paint failure I've seen on a new car and I understand the service tech's reaction. Hopefully, they will completely strip all the old paint off the fenders and hood before repainting. Good luck with the repairs.

Looks like yours was painted on Friday at 4:45 PM and the paint tech wanted to get the heck outta there. Sorry about your problems. I hope they do it right this time!

I hope for the sake of everyone's sanity, that I'm the only one who has this problem!

It looks like they had some contaminants in the wash system. Silicone is also a big no-no in paint shops

I almost wish mine looked like that. Then I'd have a big enough gripe to get Ford to repaint the entire hood. I've got so many paint chips, I've lost count. I'm afraid to sneeze on the car, because my phlegm might scratch the paint.

Bummer Krista,

My car is OK in the paint department, but I have owned a few F-150's with big time issues. The worst one was in '97 - only half of the roof was painted. The other half was just overspray over primer. I never took it in for repair because you couldn't see it from the ground. Ford is notorious for "thin" paint but yours is extreme. Good luck in getting it resolved. Looks like the old 70's era Mavericks and the old 80's Corsicas with paint peel. I agree about the chips...it's hard to keep up with them. But I still touch up and polish every time I get one. I don't want the problems compounding if I leave them alone. Good luck on the repaint!
