Are You SURE You Want to Finalize that Price?
Just a thought for all those who are signing deals for 500 over invoice, 300 below MSRP, whatever.
What if your car comes in and it has shipping damage (paint blemishes, scratches, etc)? Or if you can't pick up the car for a week and you when you show up to get it, the car has 120+ miles on it from people test driving it!?
If you sign on that dotted line before you see the car, you can really get screwed on the quality of the product you are buying. Sort of like buying a new flat screen TV without ever seeing it... and then when it shows up you find out you paid 5 Large for a "40 instead of a "60 screen.
I was just musing over all this stuff and wondering if anyone here has actually signed on the car already without actually seeing it. I've heard rumors some people have. Sounds pretty crazy to me.
Has anyone experienced dealers trying to pressure them into signing for an '05?
Thoughts, anyone?

That is one thing I asked my dealer. I asked if I could back out if I am not happy with the car. He said "absolutely, I would not ask you to sign something that locks you into buying something you have not seen. " I get to review the actual product before I buy. If I am not happy with it, I do not have to buy it.

After all this waiting and to get it off the truck and there is something wrong and you got to wait until it's fixed or a new one comes out of Dearborne.
I think you are confused.. noone is buying their car sight unseen, The buyer still chooses to buy the car or not when it arrives.
Man, those people are going to be soooooo screwed if something is wrong with teir car.
You know I didn't even think of that, the sole reason I've held off on ordering up until now, was that I wanted to drive one first..but if something isn't right, and I can back out if the need arises...no harm no foul, makes sense to me...looks like I'll placing my order this weekend then! Oh and I just found out I'm X-Plan eligible
