Beautiful car! On the gas comments, mine was filled up when we bought it, which was nice, and when I took it back for the Shaker replacement, they filled it again! I must have a nice dealer. We also got a $700 Best Buy gift card when we bought the car :P

That's sweet! We also have a yellow car. Just wish it came with those wheels. Now get that thing out of the rain and gravel, lol!

Very NICE!!! Looks just like the mustang i'm going to order, except i'm going to add the Roush tail and some black stripes or something. How did you decide on the yellow? Just curious as to how you decided. Did you always know you were going to order that color, or did it take some time to decide?
First off, thanks for all the comments gang! I've been thinking about this car ever since the '05s were announced, and believe me, there is no disappointment at all!

As far as the color, well that was that hardest choice in the whole ordering process. I actually ordered the car in Satin Silver with the red leather ICAP package.

Then about two weeks later a co-worker bought a V6 Satin Silver, so I was seeing it in the parking lot every day. When I saw the car in person like that, I just didn't like the Mustang silver as much as the other silver cars in the parking lot. Granted, most of these other silver cars were higher end cars, like BMW, Volvo, Infiniti, 350Z, Mercedes, etc., but the metallic flakes in the paint of those other cars were much more obvious than the Stang's. The Mustang silver looked sort of flat. I guess that's by design, hence the name "satin," but it just didn't knock me out. I have a feeling I'm going to really like the Titanium Silver in '06 though.

My first preference was really either Redfire or Torch Red, but my family pretty much vetoed that, since the last two Mustangs I've owned were red... "Dad, not ANOTHER red one!"

Then I thought about the Sonic Blue, hoping it was bright blue like the WRX blue. I found a dealer who had a Sonic Blue on the lot, and it was just too purple for me.

Then I considered black, but saw one of those inside a dealer showroom, and it looked like a mess with fingerprints, dust, micro-scratches, etc. If I owned that thing, I'd be wanting to wash it daily, and that's just not practical.

The only other colors I really considered were White and Yellow. At lunch one day I drove 20 miles or so to a dealer who had 4 Mustangs on the lot - Torch Red, Redfire, White, and Yellow. As soon as I saw the yellow, I knew that was the one.

Long story, but you asked...

I was in the same boat Bill ...wanted the same silver car as you ,went to the dealer and saw a 04 in satin silver ...just to flat looking for me and then i tossed around screaming yellow ,sonic blue ,performance white, redfire and came up with the legendary lime green .Seeing as this is suppost to be a one year color like sonic blue was the reason for me to get this color.

Not long at all, a perfectly sensible way to come to a decision. For me it was Redfire or Sonic Blue solely, I ordered a Redfire, they wouldn't let me change the order (to add leather) and a Sonic Blue with leather came in first, plus I wanted one before the weather turned bad. Best buying decision I ever made.

Sure! Did you say you're in Beacon Hill, CT? I have no idea where that is. B)

There are supposedly other TMS members down my area of Southeastern CT, near New London. Anyone up for meeting up, say in the Crystal Mall parking lot in Waterford?

Got me good too I might add. He saw me and sped up, In his GT, so I take off after him in my baby mustang........I got up to 85 before my husband told me to slow it down because I was driving like an idiot.

Its good to be back home in Mustang Alley, even thought I got mistook for Bizarro Eleanor again this morning. Apparently Bizarro Eleanor is owned by a cop.
