XPLAN Price question
Hello everyone! Was wondering if someone out there can help me undersstand a difference Price I have received from my Dealer on XPLAN.
I ordered back in December. My VOC sheet shows the XPLAN price at $26,483.27.
Today I received the actually Buyers Order for htecar and it shows the price at $27,223.77.
So this is a difference of $740.00
Why is there this difference? I would just ask the dealer but I assume they will just lieand I don't want to jepordize my deal iin any way.

I've read the X-Plan rules and when you go in to get a car with X-Plan what they show you is what they get and it has to be itemized.
The dealer invoice that you received should be itemized and all you need to do is compare the lists and that costs for each component. I'm guessing they tacked on some sort of dealer fee and what not. It's also possible the transport fee was not included in your original.
You have to go over those things in triplicate.

they are probably trying to tack on the updated charges on the stang. It had 2 price increases but your supposed to be locked into a price when you order. thats the law. you should say something to them. and bring your sheet with the lower price on it for support. Good luck.
First, the buyer is only price protected to when the car is actually invoiced, not when it is ordered. That is why your VOC specifically states "this is not an invoice." However, the price increases don't account for that big of a discrepancy. I would ask for the actual invoice and check each item. Do a search on the three pricing charts and print them off for comparison purposes. There sre several other threads that contain all of the information you will need. It may take a while but doing the research and preparing yourself with the appropriate information and proof thereof will put you at ease and pay dividends. Good Luck!

Well, I don't have the itemized sheet from the Dealer. SO I can't tell waht is going on. I think it is the price increases in the order. I will just have to call them and find out what is going on.
I bet it is the two price increases and the Advertising fee that people have mentioned before on this site.
How much was that? Wasn't it like $240.00?

Yay... A new weapon for the dealership if they decide to monkey with me.
X-Plan people do not pay advertising fees.

The X plan price is on the invoice. It may likely include the FDAF fee of $240 and the fuel charge, but any additional fees such as a DOC fee that would be listed on the buyer's order, you shouldn't have to pay. I too expect the price you received inlcuded up to 2 price increases by Ford, but you should be locked in under the price plan in effect at the time you ordered. Price lists are on the timeline link on the home page.
Mine was about 200 more on an xplan, after ordering in november and recieving in march. The invoice had gone up 200. The mgr. said that he would request the difference back from ford. But that they have to go on what the car invoiced at that time. But he said he would do his best to get it back for me.

Price protection is paid automatically when the sale is declared by the dealership and the name on the order corresponds to the name on the sale.
Here is the form that you should see when you pick up the car. Notice the section on price protection.

indicates that the customer has read or has had the opportunity to read, the Plan rules and agrees
that he/she will not violate any Plan provision or solicit any money, price discount or any item of
value from anyone in connection with the purchase or lease of a vehicle under the Plan.
Penalties for violation of Plan provisions may include one or more of the following: termination of
Plan privileges, disciplinary action up to and including termination (Ford employee) and/or
requirement that the customer or employee reimburse the Company for the amount of any Dealer
commission paid by the Company.

DEALER AGREEMENT
1. By signing below, the Dealer agrees to: a) assume Ford’s obligation for delivery of the vehicle,
B) collect from the purchaser the amount specified in the Plan, c) comply with the terms and
conditions of the Plan, and d) complete this form and provide it, along with a copy of the factory
invoice to the Purchaser under any Plan and provide a completed lease agreement supplement
for all leases.
2. Ford agrees to pay the Dealer the commission in effect under the applicable Plan. If a Participant
does not accept delivery of the vehicle within five (5) working days of notification by the Dealer
that the vehicle is available for delivery to the Participant, unless otherwise agreed to between
Dealer and Participant, the Dealer is relieved of all obligations to Participant. The vehicle then
becomes the responsibility of the Dealer and no commission will be paid.
3. By signing this agreement, the Dealer acknowledges receipt of copies of the Plan and agrees:
a) to comply with the terms and conditions contained in the Plan and B) that violation of any Plan
provision by the Dealer or anyone acting on behalf of the Dealer may result in Dealer or any
employee of the Dealer being: (I) declared ineligible to participate further in the Plans, and
(II) charged back any commission paid by Ford on transactions in which violations occurred.
