Wrecked '05 GT
Thats one scarey looking wreck... I dont believe it was 140 mph... the car would have been torn in half hitting a pole or tree like that.
I would guess Maybe some where between 45-50 mph.
That had to hurt...

I really hope the driver is okay. I hope it was some sort of freak accident (like black-ice, trying to avoid something, etc.) and not stupid driving that caused it. This car has the potential to get away from people.
I also have to say that I am surprised that one of our long languishing brethren hasn't already pointed out that (if they earlier statements in the thread are accurate) this guy got a GT, wadded it up, then got another... and they are still waiting.

Do we know for a fact it was someone on this site and they walked away? Seems like speculation to me.
Certainly hope they did walk away, but I seriously doubt it!

that is sickening. I get a knot everytime I look at that picture in my stomach and he walked away!?! What the?? It goes to show you I guess the durability in this context (it still is bad) but at least he still walked away from it.Matt

Didn'thave it too long before he wrecked it. Plates weren't even on the car. Unless he took 'em off -- but wouldn't see why. Hope he's okay. & if he's got another ... hope he slows down.

Hope the driver made it out alive. If anyone knows the facts, a post would be appreciated. It looks like a mighty fast slide into a pole -gotta be 60+ MPH going sideways to crush the car that much. FWIW, the one good outcome may be some of us are a little more careful behind the wheel. I know I'll pick my line more carefully if nothing else.
