Wonder if they had side air bags?

Side bags were there, you can see the tag in one of the pics. So much for the TCS!

If it had side airbags, they don't look like they went off? Am I missing something? The front airbags look like they did, lot's of dust in there.

Good Lord, I don't think there is anyway the driver could have walked away from that. That is really gut wrenching.

My guess is the drivers side airbag did deploy (see useable parts list), and that's where the dust came from.......but by the depth of impact that the driver sustained I'd have to say there was some serious injuries.

From the add...............

GOOD PARTS INCLUDE:
V8 engine with automatic transmission, wiring, computer, wheels and tires, rearend assembly, LH & RH quarter glass, usuable RH door, rear glass, decklid with spoiler, LH & RH tail lights, rear bumper cover, Front end assembly with new fenders and front bumper cover, RH and rear leather seats, LH and RH passenger airbags, Fuel tank and misc interior parts.

I would assume that the white powder is from a side airbag. The front airbag covers are still both inplace. All I can say for sure is that is one high speed impact. Like another said, it is amazing that the rear glass is still intact. Not to mension no flat tires. I am no investigator but I would say the car was hit rather than a slide into a pole. Wouldn't a high speed slide cause the tires to come off their bead on the rim.
That drivers compartment was really pushed in, would be amazing if the driver didn't suffer left side injuries. Hopefully the car was hit with no one inside. Makes me sick to look at it.

Wow, walked away! And bought another. I guess if I walked away from that I would have enough confidence to buy another. I never would want to be the driver in that situation walk away or not, can't be fun.
