I did get an email back from him as well. I'm waiting on the vert, so I'm not in a big rush. Although it sounds like you have up to a year to use your PIN. So maybe I should proceed with getting one now.

I would just like to tell everyone that xplanman is legit. I already have a pin from him. I can't thank him enough.
So what pieces of information did you have to give him exactly?

Did you have some way of verifying that quickly that the PIN is legit?

I'm still just a little sceptical.

I think a Pin # lasts 1 year. So Jan 2005 should be OK.

Man, you will have to post pictures when you get your car. The one you have on order is exactly the one that I want (well, I'm still undecided when it comes to the wheels). I think the red interior should look great with MG. I have to wait a little while till I can order because I have to get out from under the cost of 4 different dog surgeries this year, but once I do this is what I want.

BE CLEAR. THIS IS FOR PEOPLE PICKING UP CARS IMMEDIATELY!!

I've already hooked a couple of guys up. I'm getting alot of emails from people saying things like i wanna pin now, i'm ordering my car in june. Too bad. try back in august when your car is ready. Pin's can be cancelled by the employees, so don't think once you have one you can sit on it for a year.

Understand i'm just trying to help as many people as i can with as little hassle for me as possible.

I called my Ford dealership when I received the pin and had them add it to my order and it is legit. All I did was give him my name, address, email, and last 4 of my SSN.

As an update, as a partner I can not hand out PINs, I spoke with FORD today and they told me that only people who work directly for the company can give out PINs, but it seems as if you want me to hold your title, marry me, or be my kid, I got your hookup!!

Just wanted to add that some years back you had to give your full SS# for a pin number. Today it's only the last four digits for sercurity reasons. There are still 100,000 additional combinations to try and figure out someones full number, thats an awfull lot of trys. So I wouldn't be to concerned at all.

Also I did get X-plan on our 05GT, even though the first dealer we ordered from reneged on the deal.

ok everyone please bear with me, as this is a work in progress. i figured on a large response but not quite as large as this.

since some people are having a hard time understanding what immediate delivery is, things are going to have to change. Purhaps its partly my fault for first posting on a mustang site. The main people who are going to be getting these are people buying off the lot.

my purpose for doing the its to get people to look at ford products and UAW members in a different light.

so i guess what we're going to have to do is have your dealers email. letting me know you're picking up a new ford product and what type of vehicle you are trading in (unless its a first time new car buyer).

i don't want to put anyone through any kind of hassles (including me and my fellow coworkers). so this is how it's gonna have to be for now. Sorry for any inconvience or built up hopes. Plus i don't know how ford corporate would react to people who were already going to buy cars geting an extra discount.

thanks everyone

Hmmm I don't get it.

What is the difference between picking up off a lot and ordering? This will be my first new car and my first Ford car? Do I not qualify because I want spoiler delete on my GT? Currently I'm car-less, I only have my crappy company car you see in my profile.

Edit:
I think most people here were considering purchasing an 05 Mustang. But I will NOT pay above MSRP, period!

the difference in there is, right now i have a very limited number of plans available. hopefully the number will only continue to grow.

any ordered vehicle will take a minimum of 2 month to get delivery. i don't want to tie up any plans for two months only to have the customer not take delivery.

if i can get a bunch more people at work to cooperate, i might open it up to ordered vehicles. right now there is just too few for if,buts, candy, and nuts.

sorry.

Oh well, you clarification is still confusing. I won't be backing out of my purchase, but I guess I'm excluded.

Too many restricitions (even though originally you said there was no catch), and they don't seem to be explained properly. I guess I just feel a bit bummed out, don't mind me.
