i didnt. i let my friend take it home with him for 4 days and install my hp plus brake pads. i really didnt want anyone to drive my car but liked the odds of not leaving it at the airport and getting any dents unless i really had too!

I leave mine in $$ short term covered parking everyweek, I cover it with a cheap cover. I also try to park it near a wall or divider. I've not had a problem in a couple of months. I sometimes worry about it, but then again, life it too short. I love my car, and enjoy every moment in it!!

Maybe someday I will not have to leave it in the airport garage everyday, but then it will have to be on the road for 5 days a week. So for now, I'll take my chances with the one guy that parks next to me, instead of the 1000's of cars out on the road!!!!

well i have a second car, but if i didnt i would leave it i think.. i pay insurance for something right?

its hard in my area because public transport stinks, and shuttles stink so driving yourself is usually better

I don't think I would leave mine at the airport. I have left it unattended in my driveway for several hours.

What airport do you go to that has that much empty parking? Atlanta's parking is always full so the Stang stays home.
Yes, Hartsfield is pretty crowded most all the time. Even though I'm very protective of my mustang, it is my daily driver and it's probably as safe or safer at the airport than in my apartment parking lot. Which reminds me, I need to buy a house (with a garage). If I had a secure garage to store it in, then I probably would not leave it at the airport overnight.

Sure it's not an exotic...but a ding looks bad on ANY car. My car is still (close) to immaculate. It's noticeable when I park next to other 05's even. I plan on keeping that way. My car is staying home this Thanksgiving, I'm getting a ride to the airport.

Thanks for all the replys boys. I somehow knew I wouldn't need a compooter to figure out the no/yes ratio on that one!

It was a semi tounge in cheek question, however, with some serious overtone too. It's a 240 mile round trip to the airport (which would be a great drive in the Stang), that distance just makes it too far to take a taxi and there is no other public transportation from "out in the country" middle of MO to MCI. (By the way, my destination this time was MOT...go figure that one out !) My trip durations usually preclude parking in the short term protected lot too, so I am forced to use long term.

Those of you who make short trips and can park in the airport garage...good idea.

There is still way too much New on my Mustang so as I stated in the original post, I took one of the other cars I have available to me. And will continue to do so for as long as I can forsee. Maybe I'll take the pickup next time. Or maybe I'll drive the Stang to where I'm going.

I travel once or twice a month for work and leave my V6 at the airport. The longest I have been gone is three days at the most. Always park in the garage, never out in the open. Have not had a problem at all.

I live three hours south of Chicago O'hare and recently I have had to fly out for business three times in the last two weeks. And do you think I drove my stang (even though its a 19k 05 stang, with $2k wheels and tires + upgrades etc)

NO F@#@#$#@%$@#$#@$@$@$@$@$@G way

Instead I drove my wife's $40k tundra there to sit in the outside parking for the day.

Go figure but the tundra is least likely to be taken by some joyriding airport vandal then my fairly cheap-o-mustang.
