As some of you know I am a Sales Manager at Cerritos Ford in So Cal Just a quick question Would you buy this and what kind of pricing? It has 9" vinyl stripes 17'Bullit wheels with spinners Custom Blue leather int with white pony Dash kit (not 18g) It is a 6cyl

The blue on the seats is a little too bright, but the embroidered ponies are cool. Stripes are a tad narrow, but well done. Bullits are a nice touch on the V6, and go with the theme pretty well. Add rocker stripes (maybe MUSTANG in the stripe just on the fender, instead of a GT300 or the factory Mustang lettering the whole length of the door). Add tri-bar ponies to the fenders and it's a truly cool car. I have a GT ordered, so no, I wouldn't buy it. But it should certainly fly off the lot anyway, providing the price is still less than a base GT. Looks good!

That does seem to be the challenge doesn't it? As soon as you add enough of this stuff you are suddenly looking at the price of a GT. Not sure how well that would sell. Sure some folks would still be attracted to lower insurance rates but for me it just wouldn't add up. But it does look good. Also agree that the wider stripes would look better. Nice idea, you'll probably sell a bunch of em!

OK, I'll be harsh. I'm sure some girl will come in and buy it. It is pretty, just not for me, I don't really like 'pretty' cars. Don't get me wrong though, at a car show, I'd have to take a second look at it. I wouln't buy a dealer modded car, usually too expensive, and I'd prefer to do it myself. Bullitt's are cool.
It's a nice combo, I'm sure someone would buy it quickly to be unique.

That package looks nice, rocker stripes to match would really add a lot. The seats do look a bit bright but I'm sure they look better in person. I personally hope more and more of these pre-customized cars show up at dealerships, as long as they don't hike the price way up. That particular setup is pretty nice, but should never cost as much as a GT. reasonably, tacking on $1500 would seem fair.

I'm not a fan of dealer installed options, like paying $5000 for $1500 rims. I mean that car looks good but you couldn't convince me to pay MSRP plus $2k on top of it. Especially on a V6, people want the V6 because they want the cheap car. If they're gonna pay a lot more for it they will want a GT instead.
I suspect that this dealer installed option nonsense will disappear in the next model year when there are a lot of GTs on the lots. If you put that car next to a base model GT, I suspect 9 out of 10 will get the GT instead. To a GT owner, a V6 with $5k in body mods is a polished turd.

Actually I think it would go both ways. There are a TON of people who buy the 6 over the gt for the look that don't really care for the performance, and giving the decent v6 output on the 05's and I think those who had the choice between a slighlty modified v6 and a stripped down GT would probably side with the V6, that is, only if they were in that buying group.

That is a sharp lookin'car. I would *almost* buy it.
But...
I'm not a leather man... And whenver it is that I pull the trigger, I'm gonna get a GT, so there's that.
However, since it's white, if you got another one but changed the stripes to red, and the interior to red tweed cloth, and it was a GT, yeah, I'd buy it.
/It's also not Emberglo with a Tan cloth interior and a GT either. But then that'd be silly to ask for, right?
//Not *terribly* picky... am I?
///Oh yeah. How much is all that? Right. Maybe I'll just do what I want to it myself after I get it... No offense. You dealers are kinda proud, ya know...

Being truthful; I'm not a fan of white.
Blue leather just doesn't cut it for me..... not natural (goes for red too) The way it comes across in the photos the seats look plastic.
As far as the stripes being narrow....that's fine with me, but again, it's just too blue. Looks harsh against the white. Is it the same tonal difference as the old 350?
Love the wheels.
I'd be looking for a deal somewhere in the area of $500 over invoice.

Nope: (why)
-would never put plastic stripes on (if i ever did stripes they would be painted)
-they seat are way to bright, also door inserts should be colored same as seats
-white Iup? (hard to see from pics) might get too dirty
Question:
-are the seats the original leather black ones, just recovered or dyed?
-what are you planning on charging for these extras?

i know its getting harder and harder for dealers to sell the v6 stangs and it seams that each dealer is getting 3 or 4 times as many compaired to the GT , the dealers in houston have been selling the v6 models like hot cakes now and all they do is add the 20 inch wheels and for some reason there gone the next day so i guess it depends what city your in as to what your customers are going to want, hope that helps you out a little bit. i live in houston by the way so maybe you can throw some 20's on them and sell them down here lol
