MM&FF will compare the two as soon as they get their hands on an 05.

Something doesn't sound right about that.

 

I don't know how reliable that is... but from the information given to us from the recent Motor Trend issue, I don't have any doubts that '05 GT will be able to take an '04 Mach. Actually, come to think of it... I never did have any doubts about that. <_<

The fact that it can keep up/beat a mach makes it worth the money for sure.

 

Hum....well a rolling start is a rolling start. And 1.5 car lengths is pretty impressive.

Okay, lets assume the worst, the guy in the Mach can't shift or something. Assume they are almost even at 120mph......then factor in the rolling start..... fact is, the 05 will launch faster than the Mach 1 or Cobra so even in this worst case (where we give the Mach a 1.5car length more than reported), technically the 05 should still beat them. Follow me?

 

Sounds pretty cool, can't wait to see some real world numbers from the track.

 

Dan good point. I cant wait to hear / see some dyno #'s for the 05's. From the looks of it so far Ford underrated yet another car. Which is all the better for us. I dont see why its so hard for everyone to accept the fact that this is going to be the best perforing mustang yet. Mach 1 owners calm down I am sure that Ford will come out with another se car sometime this year or next. Until then looks like you had better get to modding.

Sounds like BS: Heres why...He says the race from a roll right? So they race and the 05 beats the Mach 1...Believable right? Until he says they get the SAME results when he races a Cobra...with 4.11s... SURE...

How on earth could a Cobra with new gears perform exactly like a stock Mach 1?

Of course the Cobra would be much quicker off the line but I don't think it would perform well at all towards 100MPH... And these guys raced all the way up to 120MPH.

I'm not saying the 05 isn't faster than a Mach..just saying the guys story is fishy.

 

Yeah... not really buying it, I think it is just another story by a poster that wants attention. Lets see how things go after the GT hits the streets, cause you know that there are going to be A LOT of people wanting to see what the car has. Don't get me wrong, not doubting the car, love the car, just doubting the validity of the guys story.

People kept asking me...so I brought it back for a while

 

Torque is the answer here guys the 3 valve is going to lauch harder than 4 valve, however 4 valve might end up with high top speed.

 

Why would you doubt what the guy who obviously works for magnaflow says? I am not saying that its true. But I think that there is a high possibility that this is no fabricated story just for kaka's and giggles.
