Woo I love the net. I had insurance shopped for my 05 GT (I'm a guy and 23 so the outlook was bleak). I got quotes anywhere from $900-$1500 every SIX MONTHS!!! Then I shopped on the internet and found a reputable company who's giving me $1176 for an entire YEAR!! That's some cheap insurance for a young single guy driving a GT! WOO HOO!!!!

Wooo, what company? Is that for full coverage or just liability? I'm 23 and single also, USAA quoted me $1380 every six ($230/mo) for full coverage.

And? Where did you get the quote from? You left out the most important part!

FYI, I'm a 25 year old single guy, no accidents or tickets in the past 5 years, very clean record, continuous coverage... I was getting quotes for about $4,000 every six months!

In the past couple months, the symbols on the GT have dropped significantly, I think, and insurance all over is costing less, which is good. I still anticipate paying about $2,000 every six months for OK coverage.

FYI, I've been told I live in THE most expensive auto insurance zip code in the nation - in NYC - which helps explain the extreme costs. Seems really unfair though.

Comprehensive + Collision, and I got 10 quotes and 9 out of the 10 were around $2000-$3000 a year. This is an interesting case, it's a major company, but a rural branch from the other side of the state, and this is half the price of everything else with excellent coverage. This is what I get:

Bodily Injury
Property Damage
UIM Bodily Injury (Uninsured motorist)
UIM Property Damage
Collision ($500 Deductible)
Comprehensive ($500 Deductible)

All for $1176/ year

I know, it's like this major company swore him to secrecy or something. What is it, "Vinny 'the Chin' Gigante's Olive Oil Importing and Auto Insurance Co." or something?

PM Me if you want my contact. I'm not sure she (my agent) would even do out of state insurance, but it's a national company (you would recognize the name) and if I can work it out where I get discounts for referrals, that might be great.

I hope you're not going to get coverage from an insurance company that needs its customers referrals so bad it gives reference discounts.

Your hesitancy to tell us the company, I must say, is kind of bizzare... Just MHO.

UIM Property Damage 25000

I really don't know what limits are, this was on the spreadsheet they emailed with the quote

Why would the agent matter? The company name is what they are asking for.....

You don't have to post the agent's info......I just want to know the name of the company and what website you got the quote from.

I am 26, and I went through Progressive. I have 250k/500k/100k, 500/500, $30/day rental, and gap insurance.

$467 every six months. ($934 / yr)

I was shocked and overjoyed.

Wow I didn't know Pemco was regional. Growing up in seattle, you hear about them all the time. Perhaps they are, but they're fairly large because I've heard about them since I was like 5. Anyway I used one of those web sites that send your information to 5 companies, don't remember the site. 4 out of the 5 quoted me $1500 every SIX MONTHS, and this one didn't.
