Winter driving

Strongly considering purchasing a 07 GT with manual trans. This will have to be my daily driver, unfortunately including winter. Can anyone offer their experiences with driving a 05+ GT in the snow.

Thanks

i have had my car since march, so i havent had the chance, thank god, to drive through much snow. i have driven in about and inch, and it handled better than i thought it would. also in rain, i thought the car would want to fishtail, and spin easily, but i am very happy with the way it handles. I saw go for it, you will enjoy the car very much.

I live in Montreal and we have winters here

I have had one winter with my '05 GT and all I can tell you is that it has faired much better than my previous stangs ('97 & '00 GTs). Put some good winter tires, a full tank of gas and 3x20 bags (optional) of salt/sand in the trunk. It will not drive any worst than a BMW/Mercedes especially if you have traction control

I agree with the other posts, I've driven in some snow last winter and was pleasantly suprised. The stang is by no means a 4x4, but it gets around and the Pirelli's are pretty decent in the snow I think. Much better than my 89 stang!!

Siping is awesome for additional traction. I had that done when I had Michelins installed on my Porsche. Stuck like crazy when the weather was bad. Just don't ever expect to do burn outs easily for the next 10,000 miles.
