I am from a small town dude so bring me up to speed. What is female dogin?
Female doggin' means that. . .

We all try to keep the forum "family friendly". But when someone slips up and uses a word like b**** - the language filters step in with occasionally amusing results.

I'm going to get my windows tinted this weekend. I'm heading to the place that does the Ferrari's and Maserati's in Sterling, VA.

I can't wait!

Alot of other people on this forums has said their tinter taped the sensor (as what Grantsdale said) and reported no problems.

In PA, tint on the front two windows is not allowed. Anyone seen a car with tint on the back and not the front (on a two door car). I can't risk putting tint on the front, I live on the same street as the police station.

I would like to have the windows tinted to reduce the heat, but don't want to if it will look like crap without the front windows tinted.

I got 20% tint on 11/2. I spoke to the owner of the shop about this problem. They tape the sensor while they tint it but take it off when they are done. He assured me I would have no problem with the window going up and down when I open the door (and I didn't) but he told me not to put the windows all the way down for 2 days.

Nichole - Someone had a pic in a thread that I believe you said was your car in your parent's driveway (shot from the driver side).

Those windows look dark - that's 20% tint?.....

I got my windows tinted the tint guy said the moving up and down would not hurt it just don't roll them all the way down. My windows after a week look just fine.
Same as APOKIO. I had Llumar tint installed by the dealer and the auto up and down feature was not disabled. Just didn't roll the windows all the way down for 3 days and now the tint looks great.

Nichole you live real clost to me, I haven't seen your car anywhere. Have you seen many '05's out and about B-more? And do you work in Baltimore?

Just in Laurel, I thought maybe you were a different Nichole. How do you like your new Mustang? Is that your first one?

Nichole... or anyone else who has had their '05 Mustang windows tinted... how much did it cost you? And did you have all the windows done, or all but the front windshield? I'm trying to get a quick estimate on tinting the '05 before going in and getting a real estimate done.

With the size of of the 05 Windows for all of them, you should not pay more than $125-$140 max.

Edit: I saw the dealer's price for tinting. $269?? WTF?

I love it, it is my first "real" mustang. I had a 1988 4 cylinder as my first car. This is my first manual though, took a while to get used to but I wouldn't have bought it any other way!

The last body style had a whole row of the dots about 4-6 down from the top of the glass and made it hard to tint. None around the edges though.
Does the '05 have to same dot-matrix at the top?
I know the front windshield is the same around the pony, unfortunately.

Jason
What difference does it make if the front windshield has the dot matrix or not?

The dot matrix pattern cannot be tinted, the tint will not stick to it.
