I would actually prefer it if the manufacturer did a road quality test. That means they made sure my car worked correctly before I received it.

These cars are randomly selected by companies like JD Power and get test driven. If anything on the car isn't perfect then its fixed and ok'd. I think these cars are guaranteed not to have "Bugs" in them. As much as can be done in 42 miles or so.

I will be notified when the truck arrives with my mustang. I requested to be there when it is offloaded ,BEFORE it is prepped so I can locate and put in my scrap book the build sheet and other momento stuff. It's just 10 minutes away from work. I will be photographing the event kinda like when my kids arrived. Yes everyone thinks I'm obsessed! Well I've waited a long... long time for this So yea it will be my baby... And to think guys can't have babies... Well This one is mine all mine
whew...I thought I was the only one that had it that bad
Oh no, you are not the only one.
I have a log of everything I've done to the car with cost, mileage, etc. and it even has EVERY time I've put gas in it! (with price, gallons, and mpg, of course)

I also have all the original parts, an extra owners manual I keep in the car so the original won't get messed up, and the numbers from the price that was on the windshield. I plan on laminating the window sticker in acid free plastic then framing it.

so, if you get the standard 3000 miles/ 3 year warranty. does it expire at 3000 miles or 3012 (after all the guys at the dealership get their turn doing brodies in the back lot)?
It would expire at 3012.
My car had 15.4 miles on it when I got it. It was built October 24, 2002 and I bought it Feb. 4, 2003 so it had been on the lot for a few months, but it was the lowest mileage black GT coupe they had so it's the one I chose.
I kept making a big deal about getting the one with the lowest miles and made the dealer get the keys to all of them so I could look at the miles. He thought I was concerned about the warranty so he made it clear my warranty mileage started from the time I bought the car. he didn't raelize I'm just a Stang Nut!
