The V6 Member is based on the amount of posts that you make. I don't remember the # to get to the next level, (the one I am at) but it is probably 100 or 200 posts. It should be in the FAQ.

The Gas prices won't affect whether or not I buy a GT. My Honda gets about the same mileage as the GT does ~20mpg.
