Theres not many 05 mustangs in my area of Mississippi. But I have only seen V6s for the most part, one white, two silver and I just saw one Mineral Gray while I was just at lunch.

The only GT I have seen was in Louisiana. But they are getting more popular, and I'd imagine if and when the prices come down, there will be more

But around here, mostly everyone has trucks. Although there are plenty mustangs 2004 and older around ---

Not many 05's in north Mississippi (delta) either. I don't know of any other GTs. I have only seen 4 V-6's. 2 Windviel Blue coupes, 1 Windviel vert (sis-in-law's), and 1 Redfire that has a ton of mods on it. Post back if you have a GT in the Delta, I'm curious how many may be out there. The dealers in this area had a couple of GT's back in December, but I've only seen V-6s on any of the lots since then, and not very many of them.

We seem to have more of a 55/45 (v6/v8) mix here in Jacksonville. There are so many of them over here its almost not as exciting to see one around. I saw 2 convertibles within minutes of each other.

I guess I've seen about half and half now.......

At first all I saw was GT's, but now it seems to be half and half........

I should have clarified. I know for certain that Ford is making more V6s than GTs. They always have and probably always will. And I know at the end of the year, the V6 will have sold more than the GT. That's just the way it has always been. My post was really just to see if people thought that the GT might be catching up to the V6. I think the ratio of V6s to GTs produced has always been something like 70 V6s for every 30 GTs. What I want to know is do people think that that ratio will be skewed for this year and possibly the 2006+ models

Obviously I chose a poor title for the topic. Sorry

I am seeing at least 1 to 2 v6s a day in my daily driving down here.... GTs are still kind rare......

What kills me is over the past month or so, I have glimpsed TWO GTs I wanted to get a close look at but they were going the opposite way - a black in Boca/Delray with some kind of aftermarket spoiler/wing - and a screaming yellow with black racing stripes in Boca I have glimpsed TWICE right around the Clint Moore - Jog road area... REALLY wanted a close look at that one.... :bang:

strangely I have run across this black Gt with DRKNGHT for a license plate, a couple of times, everytime I seem to be behind it!

A reason it may appear that the ratio is not as drastic is that every GT is selling very quickly while many dealers have V6s sitting on the lots.
I agree. Plenty of V6s on dealer lots around here.

Its my understanding that they need the majority of their inventory of V8 engines for the F-150.

Since the debut of the 05 stang - I have seen about 8 or 9 gts and a couple dozen v6 over the seattle tacoma everett area.

From my little knot hole it seems that the GTs are still a rare horse out this way..

Here in Longview it's at least a 2 to 1 ratio, with the V-6 being the more plentiful one.

No way the GT will outnumber the 6. Of course, we all know the hype is on the GT, but what is the ratio according to Ford? Something like 2 V-6 units for every 1 GT. Regionally it seems to balance out, though I see ALOT of GTs in the greater Sacramento area.

One thing I am noticing though-come September: FAT REBATES on the 6. I commute past 3 Ford Dealerships. Total they have 13 V-6 2005's. Talked to the sales manager and he said they cannot get rid of them. Know why? Everyone wants a GT.

Keep this in mind also though-Ford watered down this V-6. From a performance and profile perspective the new 6 is further away from the new GT than the old one was from its stablemate. I bought a 2004 V-6 for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was I wanted one of the last gens before they were gone (a new one, not used), but a major reason was I did not consider it to be much of a step down from the GT (do NOT quote me on that and laugh at me, the last GT rode like a horse and was not that much faster). I WILL NOT own post 2005 V-6. 2009 GT baby, Silver on Black.

I live in the Detroit area and I have not seen many 05 Mustangs at all. But, what I have seen is about 5 V-6 Mustangs and 2 GT's. [FONT=Arial][SIZE=1][SIZE=1]

Until recently I saw way more GT's than V6's but, the 6's are finally catching up. I'm starting to see more 6's now. This is on the West side of Ft Worth.
I agree. I have see more GTs at first but the V6s are catching up. I see about 2-3 on average each day on the going to/from work.

Last combo of stats I saw showed 28-32% GT's. Sooooo
based on that you should see 3 V-6's for every GT.
Or somethin like that.
My experience....I have only seen two other GT's and a bunch
of V-6s and I live in the 8th largest city in the US.

I haven't seen many GT's around here, but I do know one dude that has a silver one. I have seen a few v6's from time to time, not a whole lot of them though.

That wouldn't have been a Mineral Grey GT with black stripes, eh?
