Why no forged internals option?
Why doesn't Ford offer an option for using forged internals in the engine? I assume that having a separate, minor production run of engines with forged internals might cost too much. Why not pass the cost on to the enthusiast, along with a markup to make it worthwhile for Ford?
Yeah, I'm just dreaming. B)

More importantly you probably answered your own question in regards to the Cobra. One more thing to set it apart, like the IRS and body-colored mirrors. That is assuming they even use forged internals.
This stuff is about basic business. No large automaker is going to put a special run of engines together unless it's for a special run of cars or being sold as an aftermarket "crate" engine. It just isn't economically sound.
