I personaly want Bullitts, because they seem to go better with the Retro/Modern Style of the 05 Mustang, but will eventually go with 17" Hallibrand Wheels, Like these, that look like the 16" V6 Wheels.

For stock wheels, I like the concept wheels better on dark colors, bullitts better on light colors.

The optional rims look stamped out and kind of plasticky, they are just like the rims they have over here on the "sporty" versions of the Focus....wagon. Not Mustang enough..
Unfortunately when I ordered mine they didn't have the bullets with spinners available, but at least I have the bullets.

I would order mine with the bullitts...the optional rims are nice, but like everyone else says....it's a retro ride....it should have something like the buillitts that remind me of Torque Thrust rims!
I can't seem to see the diffference between the old bullitts on the new edge stangs and the new ones....does someone have a pic to show the difference?

And the Bullitts are now found on soooooooooo many Stangs that they are really just getting trite and tiresome anymore -- way overused by Ford and hence, have lost all their original uniqueness long ago. I really did like them when they first came out on the 2001 Bullitt and used as a distinctive element on that car, which was very appropriate and worked well.
Again, my preference is with the soon (hopefully) to be 18 inchers, which I find to be much more modern interpretations of the old Shelby Cragers.

Yeah well I, as I have already posted, LOVE the optionals. And if I could get them on my V you can bet you sweet bibby butt I would in a blink. The Bullitts are boring & dull. They don't flash & stand out. The optionals may look ricey but that's the look I like. In fact, if I ever have the money I will probably replace my wheels with some 18 spinners. (Yes the ones that keep spinning after you have stoped & NOT the Ford spinner).
And if you really must heckle me just call me young & dumb. I am after all a 22 year old female. But it's just my opinion.

I ordered my GT with the "Bullitt" style wheels and NO spoiler. Later on I will add the Minilite style racing wheels that the factory is using on their World Cup Car and a rear spoiler from either Roush or MRT. B)
It is after all a "retro look" car!

It is a tough option,
the pictures do not do the machined wheels justice. I have yet to see the bullits in person either.
I will take a look at both before deciding. I doubt I will spend the money on aftermarket rims.
Too bad about the fanblades or even better, the 16" wheels should have been the 17" GT wheel.

On our Mineral Grey order, bullitts were the way to go. After seeing two Satin Silvers with the bright machined wheels and deciding to go with Silver for our reorder at another dealer my wife wanted to change the wheels, it's for her. Although we both agree the flat 18's were the koolest.
Mine opinon, I like the bullitts, the new wheels are starting to grow a little, 18's are what the car needs. Next to that said, the chrome spinners should have been factory, not dealer installed, as dealer does not want to take the factory ones in trade.

I just got an order guide last weekend and it included an additional wheel option:
a 17" polished chrome "speeding bullitt" with a three prong spinner and horse logo
to be sold at fordaccessories.com as stated in the order guide but not when I
checked online (dealer installed accessory)
they look really nice with the spinner

Of course, its a matter of taste, and I thank Ford for the choice...
...but I prefer the optional GT wheels myself. The bullits look too much like last year holdovers. This car needs its own signature wheel.
