I personally haven't called Customer Service to check on my vehicle's status, but I constantly read posts about people getting different answers depending on whom they speak with. Don't the operators punch the numbers into the same database and read the same info? Just wondering why all the confusion

Well I did today....and all I got was, sorry can't help you, your dealer has the resources to track down your vehicle.

The Dealer says he doesn't.....

nothing but finger pointing.... B.S.

Mine's already built, that's not the problem, it seems like it's going on a cross country tour by railcar via god knows where.

That doesn't just happen with Ford... the company I work for has the same situation.... it's hit or miss every time. What it amounts to is some people know how to do there job, and some don't... then you have those that do, but are too lazy to do it.

SixtySix, I can understand how you feel man. The last few days of waiting for the car are the worst, specially when you know it has been shipped.
Well, I don't understand why the dealer can't help you. On their CONCEPS system they should have the reail car number by which your car has been shipped and can use that to track it.
I am sure you must have tried all this already but wanted to throw in my two cents.
BTW check your PM.

I ordered my 05 Mustang on 10/20 and picked up my DORA and VIN on 11/4.
When I picked up the paperwork the dealer said the car had a build date of 10/27.
I called customer service when I got home from the dealer and they told me the car was on a Temporary Delay, and the car remained in that status until the end of November when it was submitted to plant and given a build date week of 12/13. with an ETA to dealer week of 12/31.

I talked to customer service on Wednesday and they said the car was being built and would arrive week of 1/7.
What's strange is that another person told me as of 12/14 the car was built and shipped via convoy carrier with an ETA to the dealer week of 12/25.
I assume this means the car was shipped by truck.

I talked to the dealer yesterday that confirmed the car is on it's way and they expect it to arrive before the end of the year.

Yes well I called Ford Cust Serv 3 times & my GM at my dealership. Last night Ford told me that my car was built & should be expected at my dealership on 1/10. Well today when I call Ford twice & talked to my GM they told me (all 3 times) that my car has a build week of 1/3 & should be out of the plant by 1/10. My GM also said that there was a expected status update of 1/5. So I am hoping this means it will be built between 1/3 & 1/5 & be out the door & on the truck 1/10.

My GM also said he expects to see it by mid Feb. Although I am hoping for the end of Jan. I am cautiously optimistic about all of this. My advice is to keep calling till you get enough of the same or similar answers to satisfy you. Good Luck to all who still wait. May your car be built & arrive soon.

Happy Holidays

I told them i dont mind waitiing because i have allready waited this long i would just like some kind of conformation here they tell me my stang is on material hold . I tell them all the information i find out from all of you fellow stangers out there and my dealer thinks its all hear say .....oh well i can just cross my fingers and hope the material hold comes off soon

mustangshadow ~ I think that my dealer thought that everything I was telling him, that I found out from this site, was hear say too. I was the one who told them about the IUP hold being lifted a week ago & they thought I was nuts. They told me that maybe it was lifted for the NY region where Karpro is from but that they are in the Memphis region & as far as they knew it was still in affect for them. That was Saturday. Monday night I called Ford Cust Ser & they told me that my status was "submitted to the plant", then Tuesday around 12 noon the dealer calls me to tell me the same thing.

Then when I called my GM today he was able to give me a build week (see my previous post for full deeds). So, my question is if I am crazy & the lifed hold was only for the NY region, how does my car in a matter of 1 week go from "clean, unscheduled" to a build week of 1/3.

They just hate it when the customer has more info than they do. Anyway. JMO. But tell your dealer that if they don't believe it than to check the site out for themselves & then compare it to the stuff they are hearing. They'll see it's not ALL just hear say. Anywhoo.

Happy Holidays

Ford Customer Service is useless! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. With the IUP issue, at 1st all I got was your dealer knows better than us. Finally got someone who did their job & told me that as of (forget the date) it is not an availbale option for V6's. She posted a recommendation that they upgrade their "Build your Own" feature that would stipulate this. Ford never did. The same day after getting a good & precise answer from this rep, I get an email from a previous querry that ii "IS" available for V6's. I knew better that it wasn't at that time. Ford should be ashamed at themselves for the incompetance that is rampant there.

trust me i understand i told them of this site and how i have been getting information for months now and they just look at me like its just a bunch of kids or ppl that made little web sites i tried to explain to them that we have car dealers and MANY true mustang fans on this site, but like the topic FORD says your dealer knows and my dealer says FORD AINT talkin to us so who knows at any rate my dealer tells me that my car will be here mid to late February and all i could say is how can you be sure of that when you have NO idea what is going on with my car right now I mean i ordered in OCT i have no DORA no VIN notta but he says time is not an issue to me so as i left my dealership i joked around with the sales manager and told him what he can give me for Christmas then another guy spoke up and said MAYBE for next Christmas another thing they told me is that X plans are being made SLOWER than regular orders
