Add me to the club. My wife openly admits that she recognizes my affair with my car. She always says, "It' just a car!" She just doesn't understand my passion for cars. I eat, sleep, and breath car stuff. It's my passion that she just doesn't understand, she just accepts it.

Hmm, now you've got me worried. She always tells me I'm worth way more dead than alive...

I guess that I am lucky in the "wife" department. To keep her quiet, I bought her a Mustang, and then another and another, etc.
Been married for 20 years now, have owned (between me, the bank, FMCC, etc.) more Mustangs than we can remember. Nether the least all of the other vehicles.
I have been car "queer" since a small child, started when Dad brought the used 65 coupe (6cyl, 3spd) home
for Mom. Life was never the same.
The wife does complain at times, especially when she finds me standing in the garage stairing at the cars. Wants to know if I would leave her for a car? I told her only if it says SHELBY.

You are not alone. My wife was tired of it way before my car arrived. I wonder what she will say when I paint a mural on the garage wall this summer as a tribute to my stang

From: Orlando(DP!) Florida
My family thinks I love my car more than them.
I pretty much lost all of 2004 to the mustang- anticipating and waiting for them to start, and I lost all of September and October to chasing them down, and driving to Atlanta for the innovation drive- November Eleanor rolled off the truck and I got her for Christmas.

Brian thinks I am mental, because I spent several MORE months after going to the car dealer every Monday to see the new babies. And When I lost my spinner to the carwash(to wash off puke, it was an emergency) and I cried halfway to Florida, he was sure I lost it.

I too have a wife that thinks I'm totally nuts about my car. Fortunately, she still buys me Mustang trinkets for my vert. One way I kept it from becoming a real issue was to get her involved with the local Mustang Club. That way she looks forward to the club cruises (first of the year on Sunday!). She even said "you should get that CDC lightbar thingy" the other day. Oh yeah! it's working.
