I wish it was true, this whole business about getting you vehicle 3 weeks after build date. I ordered mine back on 7/09/04, got a build date of 9/23 and still no car(vin # 104222). Anyone have a mustang built around this time and if so, have you taken delivery or have any new info. All my dealer can tell me is that it's been invoiced and is showing in their inventory. I went and built my car at the ford websit and forddirect shows my car in their inventory. Can anyone give me some more info to hold me over in this most dire time of need. Thanks a bunch!!!

It seems the you fell into the unexpected problems portion of my post. It's weird that your car shows up in your delaers inventory yet they have no clue where it is. I would be asking lots of questions. It has to be somewhere. Go as far up the ladder as you can go, someone should be able to provide you with an answer, Hope you get the car soon.

Can you tell me which transport co might be on strike? That may be delaying me as well.

 

My car has been in my dealer's inventory for about two weeks and they have no idea where it is. I'm sure the "adding to inventory" function is automatic, based on some kind of release-to-shipping event.

They should use UPS to deliver the cars. Then we'd know where our vehicles were at all times. Can you spell "scan a barcode"?

i think the cars show up in the "inventory" as soon as the car is invoiced to the dealer. So just because it is listed in the inventory, does not mean that they actually have it on their lot yet.

 

Ok.....I can look the status of VINS up one more time, but I need some help. I need someone to compile all of the VIN requests (since my last posting of VINS) and the associated user ID name. Can someone post the compiled VINS and the user names and then I will do another lookup?? I would appriciate the help.

The dealership told me they can't say which it is but it is the Transporter company that runs though Ohio,WV,PA,VA,TN for Ford and GM & Honda dealers,
