Where are my BF Goodrich Tires

Need some help finding some tires. Seems my rears have worn out alittle faster than the fronts,Huh? Can't seem to find my size anywhere local or on-line. I need a pair of BF Goodrich TA/KDWS 255-50-17. Word has it that Goodrich has changed the tread design on the KDWS and dropped my size. Any help would be great.

Tire Rack is showing them at $151 a piece. Hope this link will get you there, if not just go to www.tirerack.com and search from there.

I got tired of waiting for the BFG tires in that size also. I ended up getting Kumho ASX's instead, and they were less expensive. So far, so good

Finally found a pair from NTB. Called and spoke to rep from BF Goodrich. He told me that production scheduled in the next 6-10 weeks. Also told me that the tread pattern has been changed. Not sure if the 255-50-17 would be produced. So I am glad I found a set. I must have looked and called 30 stores to find them. For you still looking good luck...Let the show season begin.

Ouch! Wierd, the 18" ones that came with my fanblades are in stock and only $73 (half the price!). I had to get one a while back when I hit a curb and had some exposed cords.

Hmm, that size is still listed on the BFG web site. But now there are only a few sizes listed, where before there were a lot more. Maybe that's becuase of the new tread pattern?

Have a look:

You might as well get 255/45/18's. Same diameter as stock and fit better than the 235 on the factory 8.5" wide wheel anyway.

For 255mm, 50%, 17" Diameter, I use the Hankook tire from Les Schwab. Originally made as a light truck tire, the cost is $111 per tire, plus Mounting & Balancing @ $11 each, plus $6.50 for Chromed Valve stems if you need those too. The Hankook is rated W for speed (145 mph), which is faster than you really aught to be going on public roads. I would rate the dry road traction as excellent, and the wet road traction as good. Wear is also excellent.

Where do you live, Poco? Don't want to pay for shipping. My PM is inoperative at the moment.

Haha! I guess I have to draw the line somewhere and right now that line is a 50 mile radius around the state of Chicago. Those Dunlops are working great on the Jeep by the way...
