ok well i put in the upr billet door pins and my left door lock stopped working.didnt have a problem with the regular pins, got it fixed once.took my chances again with the upr's and the door lock went again.now im going to have to bring it in to get fixed but i dont know where i put the regular pins.does anybody know where i can order them?i just dont want to bring it in with the upr pins in and have the service guys blame it on them even though they may have caused it...anyway is there any site that i can order a set of normal black pins

Your saying the locks failed because of an aftermarket door pin ? How did it fail?

ya, I'm not quite understanding this one either. Is the lock pin too short and actually going inside the door? If so that is not a warranty issue. That is definately a "using the wrong lock pin" issue.

any (other) ford dealer should be able to get you fixed up. if you got a mic or caliper, measure those aftermarket pins would ya? if your locks are 'trying' to move, the motor/gears shold still be ok, sounds like the pins are just a tad bigger in diameter dragging against the hole. the actuators ford uses are little motors/gears that normally 'stall' at ends of travel- and every time you hit unlock with 'already unlocked' so stalling shouldnt really damage actuator- I'm just guessing the drag is too high for the timed pulse of power going to the lock to get the job done...if theyre bigger OD and you are really that fond of them, toss in a lathe and cut to same as original diameter...if diameters same, then guess its likely weight difference.

I've got a set if you want them...I've got the UPR ones and they fit fine. No plans on going back to the plain black ones. Just let me know and I'll drop them in the mail for you.
