Has anyone tried Slick 50 engine treatment? I have never tried it and Ive heard many different stories, both good and bad.

Slcik 50 is a teflon based product.
The teflon will do wonders on sensors.
Not only that it is a worthless POS. [/b][/quote]
I completely agree. I use to work at an oil change place...ya, one of my worst jobs ever....anyway, they always wanted us to push teflon bases additives like Slick 50. The good old ball-bearing acid test was my favorite.
I would not use them at all. Sensors start buggering up and if you check with the dealer, some will void warranty on parts (oil pump) for clogging.
If you insist on using this stuff make sure your engine is really hot, drain the oil, put in the new oil and add the slick 50 (junk) and then run your engine for 10 minutes. If you don't the slick 50 will just sit at the bottom of the pan. Most of it will adhere to the pan and a lot gets stuck the oil filter.

Just changed my oil yesterday after 1500 miles. Put on a new K&N oil filter and put in 6 quarts of Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend motor oil. It was $2.08 a quart vs. $4.99 for Mobil 1. For now, I think I will change my oil every 3000 miles (after changing it after the next 1500 miles) and just use Motorcraft synthetic. It's what the Owner's Manual recommends. Quick question on this subject... are you supposed to change the oil filter everytime you change the oil? I have heard both yes and no.

Everyone with a Pep Boys store close by needs to see this.... they have a calender available at the checkout counter that costs $1.00. It has a coupon for Mobil 1 buy 3 get 3 free. I purchased some the other day total cost for a 6 quarts of Mobil 1 was $17.50. This includes the cost of the calender and tax.
