Well I ordered a pretty plain gt over 11 weeks ago. Still nothing, no build date, no vin, and no information. I contact my dealership everyweek and still no information. I call ford and give them all the information I have on the order and they cant tell me anything. Only information is from dealership is that all there gt's are on hold. Not allocation etc. I ordered a metallic redfire deluxe with automatic, alarm and upgraded wheels. nothing special, no iup etc. Ford tells me they have no info and tries to call dealer and hold story is what they get from dealer. I put 4000 down and I am still waiting. The closest gt I can find that I like is about 3-5 hours away. Do you think they will give me money back since they told me 6-8 weeks, now being over 11. I want to go buy one out of town if I cant get any real information ON when and If this gt will ever be built. Anyone else getting this same run around. Thanks for any advice on getting deposit back etc.

They should give you your money back no problem. You havent gotten anything for you 4k, so I suggest you get that back and go elsewhere.

Ask for your DORA. If they can’t provide that ask for your money back.

Have you tried calling the VOPC line yourself instead of relying on what the dealer says? It's fully automated, no need to talk to anyone. I'll send you the info if you want.

Use google and you can find it but it's not supposed to be posted here. It's a dealer only number.

That's the same thing as giving him the number.

Oh and without the dealers number, order number or VIN its going to be hard to use the number.

Dan, like posted before ask them for the DORA, no DORA get your money and go. I ordered back on Oct 26th, that is a little over 11 weeks and I picked the car up Dec 16th a little over 7 weeks from order to delivery. On a GT deluxe no IUP 6 to 8 weeks is what most are waiting. I can understand a wait that long if you ordered preproduction, or got caughtup in the Holiday shut-down, or the IUP hold. I don't how you are hanging in there, good luck to you sir.

well thanks to all who replied. Thanks for the info ponygirl. I did call the number and no status was found. I do have order number , body, dealer number etc. For whatever reason it has no info same as all the rest. It did have a 10 as priority as well, so supposedly that is supposed to be a good priority rating. I am going to contact general mgr. tommorrow and see what he says about giving me my money , and I will drive out of town to get one. Thanks again for any info, and your support people. Take care, and hopefully someday soon I will have my gt.

Well spoke to general mgr. today, he was very nice. Said he would have a mgr call me about possibly getting a different one that may already being built or on the way. Probably wont be the exact color I want but, right now I wouldnt mind black either. So I have a meeting with him later today to discuss what can be done, because order just has not been pulled for whatever reason. It has nothing special on order, but he said no info avail, even from his uaw contact that usually can help him out better than ford. So well see if we can come to an arrangement or he said he had no problem giving me my money, was very nice and apologetic, he seems to think they just took way too many orders, but its funny that people that ordered after me have a build date this month. So anyway maybe i'll get lucky and get the iup after all etc. I told him I wouldnt mind upgrading or whatever to get it now.I guess well see , thanks for help everyone.
