Does the Ford Racing Hurst Shifter use the stock leather GT boot, or do you have to buy another one?

Good question, but I imagine that you would use the stock boot. The Hurst brand does.

Stock. It comes with a small plastic grommet to hold the boot on the stick. You can see it in Scootr's pic.

Hurst - true muscle car looks, incredibly short throws and no slop.

Shifter

I admit the Hurst looks good (I mean, all you're seeing is the handle), but I don't understand taking form over function. I've driven them all, and the MGW is truly in a class of it's own. A long time after I forget what I paid for my MGW, I'll still be enjoying the shifts my MGW gives me.

You prefer the function of the MGW over the Hurst. Some actually like the notchy shifts you get from the Hurst, like myself. I like the feeling of knowing exactly where I am. The MGW is a great shifter. But again, it's not for everybody.

I agree, I love the MGW but to each his own. The Hurst is nice looking, actually the Hurst looks great and I can see folks liking the notchy feel.

Whats nice is we all have choice, which is a very good "Thang"

Actually, I've never considered MGW because I like the Hurst a lot. I like the look and the notchy feel, and of course the very short throw. But now that MGW has the retro stick, I may consider it for one of my vehicles, just so they don't have the same thing.

I'm using the MGW shifter. I waited a long time for it to become available and it was well worth the wait. I think this is the best quality. IT is also the most adjustable.
