Looks like a Killer Deal on Shelby GT! Buy it before they correct price.

 

I can almost guarantee you that when you call the dealer about it, they will figure out they left off the $8,300 or so Shelby surcharge. The listed price is the MSRP before they add the Shelby add-ons. There have been one or two dealers apparently not in the know until it was too late, but you better cross your figures and act fast.

 

OK, so it really IS a Shelby and not just added rocker stripes and hood pins etc? I've never looked at one listed - out of my league!!

 

I would be cautious.
There is no dash plaque and the steering wheel is a base one.

 

Looks like a stripe job & a custom grille to me--I'd look closely @ the paperwork & make sure of what you're getting for you money.

OK, well back to reality....even if it IS a real shelby and they forgot to add the $8500 I don't think I could follow through with the sale if they never caught their mistake. Karma, ya know? On the other end of it I'm not going to TELL them either.

But, they do have Bullitt #452 sitting on the showroom floor right now, unspoken for. Now that's a reality, on my way there and will get a better look at the shelby too.

 

Back from the dealer...the Shelby was suspicious for sure. I think it actually IS a Shelby, but it looks like someone might have muffed somewhere along the line. Possibly they "shelby'd" a deluxe rather than a premium? The front of the dash was the plastic stuff, vent louveres black, steering wheel is base, and no aberdeen door inserts. But then again it had leather seats, a shaker 500, and the my color/message center thing. Who knows.

The sales guy had no clue and said maybe that's why we're selling it for less? I'm thinking you're asking ME? Had another tell me there was an $8500 add on. But oh, we can x-plan any shelby on the lot. A shelby? Uh huh. They are a mess at that dealer, I know that much.

Bullitt was a different story. I'm sold!! I'm going to order one tomorrow if the dealer near me is serious about x-planning it. This dealer was talking ADM, yeah right. But they'll x-plan a shelby.

 

You can order a deluxe Mustang for Shelby GT conversion. Few do it.

I would ask them where the dash plaque is and what the CSM# was (also found on door sticker and in engine compartment)

 

MSRP on a Deluxe Mustang Gt from Ford is $26,595.00 with no added on options and without any incentives (deductions). So if you add the Shelby GT package it would be around $34,00-$35,000. They must have had it for awhile and want to get rid of it.

 

Caution that the CSM number is not listed or displayed. Looks like a copy.

 

Yeah but the window sticker said premium....

I didn't bother to ask about the plaque or number as there was no way I was buying the car and by that time I pretty much knew they didn't know the answer anyhow.

And speaking of the dealer, those dang people have been calling my house every 1 1/2 hrs like clockwork since 9 this morning. Maybe I will get the bullitt xplanned after all, although my motivation to call them back is ZERO.

 

Not a copy. An authorized Ford dealer would have to be a real idiot to try to sell a new "fake" SGT as a real one. That's a direct trip to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Might even cost them their franchise.

 

True but where is the dash plate? Left one the Lynda car, right one from current ebay listing. You think Shelby quality control would let that car go out like that?

maybe it was just a special order from someone who didnt care about all the added interior perks. put the $500 down, then ate the $500 when they saw it and didnt like it..Now they are selling cheap cuz its ugly inside.

 

It that possibily a dealer prep item? (to avoid theft)?

All I can say it that the VIN checks out on Shelby web site.
