What's everyone paying for 07 GTs?

I priced myself a stripped down 07 GT Deluxe (no options) and after tax, title, registration, it comes to about $26,700.00 out the door The X-Plan price is about $24,800.

If the car isn't worth the price to you then buy something else. Why come here and whine about it?

I'm interested to know what kind of deals people are getting on 07s. I keep hearing about how so and so got a GT Premium out the door for $26k or a GT Deluxe for $24k. Are these lot cars?

X plan is based on options on the car, so asking what I paid is a waste of time.
We bought ours off the lot, we did not want to lose money on our trade.

WE had to X plan because the car sells for MSRP in WA and dealers refusded to take invice price !

So if you don't have a X plan, build your car that you want online (NADA. KBB NOT FORD SITE) and thats the invoice price, take $100 off for X plan and there you go.

With the discounts ours was $28,100, thats how loaded the car was.

The best deal on a 2007 GT you are going to get is via the x-plan, if you are looking to get into a V8 Mustang for as cheap as possible then go find a 2006 GT w/ automatic sitting on a dealers lot because there is a lot of cash back available right now on that one... and hope the dealer will sell it at invoice.

In my state title and tax are next to nothing.
Registration is paid a couple of weeks later.

My "out the door" is less just because of where I live.
However we pay a few hundred every year for registration.

Let's clear up a couple things here. The price you get when you "Build & Price" online isn't invoice, it's MSRP. X-plan is calculated based on A-plan or invoice pricing. This is a direct quote from Ford's partner web site:

Pre-determined price based on dealer invoice or A-Plan price depending on brand.
The X-Plan price is noted on the dealer invoice (except for
Land Rover and Jaguar)

Ford/Mercury

Invoice minus 0.4% of Invoice + $75 administration fee

Lincoln

Invoice plus 0.6% of Invoice + $75 administration fee

Volvo

A-Plan + 2% of A-Plan

Land Rover

Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Regional Advertising Group fee and destination & delivery fee).

Jaguar

Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Advertising Association Fee and destination & delivery fee).
It has nothing to do with the options you select.

I went to the dealer with an x plan pin, but the salesman said he could get me an a-plan pin for $100. It was an $1100 difference between x and a plan so I did it. The result was a GT Premium for $24200 (there was a $500 rebate on the a plan then). I forget what it was with tax and title, I live in NY so I try and block those kind of things out of my mind...

I'm in a similar situation. At least you have access to more dealers/choices. You'll just have to look around a little longer or out-of-state to find a dealer willing to work with you. Being on an island with just 3 stealers to choose from, that's not really possible. Thought about ordering one from a mainland dealership, but the cost(s) associated with bringing it here would have negated any savings. Try to be patient and spend some time trying to find the best deal you can. If not, be prepared to pay up or walk away depending on how badly you want the car. Good luck with your search.

Buying an A-plan is illegal, imo.

My CS/GT

I just received my 2007 CS/GT that I ordered about 10 weeks ago. Basically fully loaded. Paid about $600 over invoice = $31,000. Love my new car!

Certainly against Ford's rules.... but I am not sure the penal code addresses the buying of A plan pins. I think at this point Ford is just happy to sell a car at whatever price

Ordered mine with the options below (fully loaded except for the fake hoods scoop and the Shaker 1000 Amp in the trunk) and used the X-Plan. It came out to be around $140 less than invoice.

I've ordered mine through A-plan and sticker will be $29,250. A-plan price will be $26,140. Plus, there's $500 cash back on them and usually we get a $1000 retiree voucher after November 1st.
