My 2nd choice would have been a WB vert with spoiler delete... But they didn't make verts til spring 05 and I would have paid $10k more for my car by then

that was a big debate for me also. one of the local dealers had one at MSRP also - however i didnt want a black car as a daily driver.

they later got in a white one ( a week or so after i found my white gt/cs) - but i think the salesman was too much of a putz to seal the deal for me. maybe i expect too much - but a decent walk-around or knowing the car - or hell - even offering a test drive.

I'd have gotten 18" fanblades and a spoiler delete. Other than that, Im extremely happy.

I wanted the Fan blades..... but since I ordered mine in 2004, they were in the book, but not avail. plus I would NOT have PAID for the Anti Active Theft Thingy, the ONLY REASON I got the anit theft was for the ( I know old topic ) Global window option

I think the answers on this thread should have been the changes you would make of things that are actually available from the factory. We all have a wish list of things that aren't even available.......how 'bout the things that were left on the table, or different color, etc?

Seatbelts need an adjuster for us of the shorter variety! I currently use a clip to keep it from sawing my neck off.

Other than that, I ordered mine with all the options I wanted so no complaints yet!

I kind of wish I had factory heated seats, but I didn't want to wait for a factory order. So I got them dealer installed. The main difference is the switch, which is a rocker switch mounted on the center console next to the parking brake instead of being next to the AC and defrost buttons. Not a big deal.

I got vinyl stripes installed by the dealer also. I'm afraid they won't hold up as well as painted stripes though, so I may end up regretting that.

I bought min eoff the lot....and there wasnt another one like it anywhere.... so I missed out on the IUP...would love to have that, because adding all the features seperate would cost well over $1000. I also have the Tan vert top, and I love the look but keeping it clean is a pain...so I dont know if I would sacrafice the look for ease!

From: Holland
I have second thoughts about my choice of black as exterior color, living in such a rainy coutry as Holland. I would have ordered Alloy if it had been available in 2005.
Another thing is the GT spoiler. My car was ordered through a Canadian dealer, therefore spoiler delete was not an option in 2005.

As for the rest, I'm still impressed and I think the car has surpassed my expectations

I would have really loved that from the factory.
1A.FULL leather seats rather than the inserts only being leather.
2.A nicer shifter handle for the auto, the Five Hundred and MKX have nice looking auto shifters. The Mustang t handle with a nice chrome shaft would have been nice too.
3. Footwell lighting
4. Overhead console w lights for the rear seating area
5. Upholstered door panels rather than the hard plastic.
6. A wood grain option IUP (Yeah I know I'm old school) or at least used the same IUP dash material on the center stack for a nicer looking interior.

Under the woulda been nice but still not bad catergory
Rocker panels without the indention below the door line.
The GT spoiler looks good, but I wish for a factory duck tail much like CDCs
Lower grille with the elongagated hexs on each side opened up.
Rear of the rear wheel openings flared more to prevent all the dirt on the lower quarter panel when its rainy.
+1!! ^^^^ I thought the exact same thing the first time I saw the car in person. I also thought the interior space seemed much more cramped than the 99-04, even though it's supposed to be more spacious. Why Ford used hex shapes on the grill at all is beyond me... what a pain to keep clean!!

Other than that, I got exactly what I wanted (and didn't want) relative to optional factory equipment. I'm not a fan of the hood scoop, so no GT appearance package, didn't want the 'radio wart' on the trunk lid required with sattelite radio, got IUP and Premier Trim package inside, 3.55 gears and manual. The color and factory stripes help set the car off from most of the rest on the road.

I think I would have gotten the Shaker1000 radio instead of the 500, but otherwise really happy with it

1) Spoiler delete-Would've made the switch to CDC ducktail easier.
2) 18" Polished Bullits-Wouldn't have had to buy them after already paying the extra $$ for the 17" option.
3) Wish the Premier Interior Upgrade, Comfort package and audio jack were available in 06.
4) Might have chosen Vista Blue if there was one on the lot with the options I wanted.

Other than that I got everything I wanted.

I would have enquired about adding a Roush S/C to the final purchase price.
