Ok well some of you may have already read on another post about me and my 05 mustang experiences but if not here's the jist of things. I ordered my 05 Black with Red Interior beauty from a local dealer back in December and I was assured I would get it. Well even though I wasn't a member of this site then I had been reading things over for quite some time and so I knew it was going to be iffy whether or not I was going to get my new GT. I ordered the ICAP and since it automatically comes with the IUP I figured there would be a longer wait because of the delay problems with the IUP. But by the time it was March I was starting to get a little worried and I kept bugging my dealer all the while they were telling me oh yeah you're the next one, you'll get yours. Well at the beginning of April I called and finally talked my way through to the top and I got the dreaded news that I would not get my GT and in fact they didn't have any allocations left and with how many orders they took I really could have known way back in December that I wasn't getting it. Well needless to say this ticked me off a lot :angry: and now it was pretty late in the game. But after calling around I found a dealer about and hour and a half North that pormised me they had allocations and so I ordered my second 05 on April 11. Now the good news is that they were telling me the truth and my car is scheduled to be built next week . However, I am going on a few consecutive trips for the month of June and I am leaving for the first one on June 12th so my car will not have arrived yet. I will be arriving home the morning of the 18th so if my car has arrived then I will go pick it up that day, however I am leaving that same night and will be gone for two straight weeks so it will have to sit in the garage until I can get home. The second scenario which I really hope doesn't happen is that the car has not arrived by the 18th and then will arrive at the dealer just after I leave and will have to sit on the lot for two weeks. Sorry for the insanely long post but I just needed to rant for a little while because it's like after 6 months I am finally goinga have one and then I can't even drive it for two more weeks :bang:.

P.S. I am very sorry to those of you who weren't even able to get an 05 and had to order an 06. I do feel very lucky that I will be getting an 05 and I by no means am I taking it for granted. I'm just bummed out about not even being able to drive it after waiting so long to get it.

 

I hope the dealer will hold it for you for 2 weeks!
