Sorry to thread-jack, but this is somewhat related.. There are several places in my car (hood & door for starters), that have a tiny little pimple-like protrusion. It protrudes like 1/10 of 1 mm, and is the size of a pin head, but it's very noticable because the paint reflects differently around that point (sort of like a very, very tiny mountain). Are these normal? I've had the car for 2-3 weeks now. I would like to demand new body panels, but seeing as how they're on at least two of my new panels, is this a common defect?

(Ok, it's not very noticable, but when you're 6" from the car polishing away smudges, it's easy to notice.)

Sounds like dirt in the paint. The dealership bodyshop could likely 'denib' the imperfections. It's much more likely to be dirt in the paint than a defective panel.
