OK, oddest comment I've gotten was at a car show. Had a gentlemen walk up and he and his buddy were admiring the car for several minutes. I then walked up and he says "Is this yours..?' to which I reply "Yes, it is" and he simply says "I hate you!" and storms off... I've never laughed so hard.

You're right, and at least WE know that, but you know the major magazines and everyone will find a way to compare it to the Mustang regardless, simply because history has always made the Camaro the Venom to the Mustang's Spiderman.

 

One of the weirdest things said, was not to me in general, but to the group of myself and friends who all brought our new Mustangs to a car show in Riverside NJ, this past Saturday. This show is for ALL cars, not only classic. We had 6 new Mustangs in a row, all in the modified section. Everyone loved the line of Stangs, since we all had different looking cars. All comments were positive, except for this old toolbag. He starts ranting out loud that they shouldn't let new cars in the show, and that our cars shouldn't even be allowed in! Had I heard him a few seconds earlier, I would have clearly stood him up and asked him to get a darn life! These cars will be where the 60's Mustangs are today. These will be the classics of tomorrow. The guy just needed to leave the area, and thank goodness he did. Loser!!

 

I've got a few compliments with mine (before i was forced to sell it).. but the day that i got it, it seemed like everyone wanted to race me. A lotus, an older foxbdy.....even a diesel F-250 wanted some action. I didnt race any of them, but the guys drving the F250 at least gave me a thumbs up when shook my head 'no'.
