I have been getting this weird clicking noise when I set my auto trans into parking gear. After I apply my foot on the break and put the gear into parking and after I release my foot off the brakes, the auto shifter bounces back and forth for a sec. I don't know if this problem is cause because when shifting to the parking gear I tend to sometimes click on the overdrive button as well turning it off.

Anyone suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

My GT is a manual, but when I had my F150 which was an auto the truck would rock a little when I put it in park and took my foot off the brake. This was normal with it and I got in the habbit of always setting the parking brake with it.

mine just clicked a little between the R and P. There is a little resistance between them sometimes, but i think it's normal. I do set the parking brake and it doesn't do it anymore!

I think this happened because I didn't pull the shifter all the way up,that's why it clicked. After I made sure it was pulled all the way up, this didn't happen anymore.
