That sucks. I hope you get it back up to new. Maybe its time to get some aftermarket parts. And one more thing

Well I heard back from the dealership. Looks like it was around $1657.00 worth of damage. I will have a complete list of items that need to be replaced. I specifically asked about the engine, and why it wouldn't start. He said the fuel cutoff switch was triggered. Once they reset it, they were able to drive it around the building.

I can't remember exactly what was to be replaced, but I will get that list and post it tomorrow. One thing I did remember was that he said the wheel needed replaced, because it was bent. When I look back at the incident, I pulled over initially because I thought I had a flat tire. Well the tire looked fine when I looked at it, so it ended up being a bent wheel.

I'll post more later. I wish I could post pictures of it, but it was all mostly underneath.

WOW!!! How much??? Will be interested to find out what they are replacing. Hope the car feels good to you when you get it back. I know sometimes the car can feel 'bad' after a repair job like that but I think that all that is just in the mind. Hope you get it back soon.

Nope it was a metal bar, something like the bar under the trailer opening on a semi

i've seen things like metal ladders and sofas in the middle of a highway. Insane. Can you imagine what a metal ladder could do to a car?

I don't even want to think what a sofa would do.

I called 911 and reported the road debris imediately.

I feel for ya. I drive the same roads where your car got nailed. It's crazy. The interstate's in the DC area are insane. I think the police just gave up trying to control them.

Yeah I agree. I think they have the DOT people driving around not cleaning up stuff. I didn't have one cop stop by and make sure everything was ok. I had two DOT people and one roadside assistance guy. This one DOT guys said...hey I drove by earlier and saw another person helping you, and then I stopped on my second pass... I called the Ford Roadside assistance and gave them a hefty slap with the review of how poor of a job they did.

That's some list Aaron. I'm sorry you went through that. Hope everything gets back together good as new in a timely fashion unlike your road side assistance wait. Talk about adding insult to injury

If you were ever thinking about aftermarket upgrades.. that may just be your silver lining

Well I finally got her back yesterday. The total was around 2100.00 of damage. It will go up a little more also once I get the repair on the clear bra done also. Luckily, the car still runs great and looks great. I was so happy to get back into my baby. I was driving around in my girlfriends Mercedes 230 kompressor for two weeks, and once I got back into my stang and heard the Borlas again....I was like ahhhh...what a relief!

Thanks for the support!
